I forgot to look last night but many across North Wales and into Cheshire had a good show.
Tonight?
Cloudy here but only thin but I keep popping out every ten minutes and bugger all.
I put up a photo in the weather thread that I took in Surrey Friday night. Presumably a rare event this far south. Any idea why they're normally only seen farther north?

As Earth's magnetic field redirects the particles toward the poles — there are southern lights, too, which you can read about below — the dramatic process transforms into a cinematic atmospheric phenomenon that dazzles and fascinates scientists and skywatchers alike.
