One of the main hospitals here was last week refused the funding they badly need to make it safe. A couple of months ago patients had to evacuate as a ceiling fell in, then last week, on the same day that it was announced funding had been refused, a light fitting fell from the rotting ceiling in a delivery room in the maternity block, narrowly missing a birthing mother.
But let's give the people who stuff themselves too much and excercise too little , expensive slimmng aids funded by the ones who actually do work, or have worked all their lives without draining the country by expecting freebies..

That's a fairly expensive drug. Damn sure ain't free to the taxpayer..
Also, it has a lot of side effects in many who take it. Those will require more medical attention.

Maybe instead of giving the lazy over indulgent workshy free jabs, the government would be better off concentrating on all the sugary crap that's disguised in many foods.
Step up sports and physical education in schools, at the minute it's 2 measly hours a week....fit kids grow into fit adults.
Prevention is better than cure.

If the obesity is caused by over eating, and it usually is, I agree.
But the best way to stop this fat epademic, is to regulate the amount of crap that's put in our food, get kids off their arses and into the gyms and sport fields, and NOT pander to idleness with rewards.
I also think it would be a good idea for the press not to pretend flab is attractive....it isn't.
