LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (Gray News) – More than $100,000 has been raised for the legal fees of an Arkansas father accused of killing a 67-year-old man who he found in a car with his missing 14-year-old daughter, his family said.
While en route to the home, deputies were told that the child’s father, Aaron Spencer, had located his daughter in a car with 67-year-old Michael Fosler.
The sheriff’s office said a “confrontation” between the men ensued, which ended with Fosler being shot and killed.
Deputies said Fosler died at the scene and Spencer was taken into custody.
According to USA Today, the family had a no-contact order in place for Fosler, accusing him of stalking and raping their daughter over the summer. Fosler had been arrested in July.
A public Facebook post from a woman named Heather Spencer, who identified herself as Aaron Spencer’s wife, said, “We had no idea this man was in contact with our child again.”
He will never get convicted in Arkansas. He might get a medal from the governor.
Sounds to me like he was simply enforcing the no contact order and shouldn't have even been arrested..

So a judge had ordered a No Contact order against his man, he had been arrested but presumably not charged with abducting and raping the 14 year old?
If he had been charged surely he wouldn't be free. Was he a relative?

Good for the father! Hope he isn't convicted of murder.

I agree. I read another report, the dead man apparently groomed the kid online.

He may have been charged and was out on bail.
While she couldn't have legally consented, she may have agreed to go with him.
It's still a crime, but not one that would have kept him in jail until a trial.

I read a report from the mother of the 14 year old, she said he was charged and bailed, and a No Contact order was put in place.
He would appear in court in December....well he wont now.
