Some years we get loads, others none. I got sick of being left with teeth breaking lollies so now I buy chocolates so I can eat them all myself if no one comes. We have had countless kids calling tonight, all dressed up brilliantly as tiny demons or witches....and there are no chocolates left for me.

I never had any for the past few years, so locked the door, then one knocked. 😂 Didn't answer was on the phone.

I didn't see any guisers last night.
I used to make up wee bags of sweets and monkey nuts but all the young ones near me are grown up now.
Plus everyone bar one house has a dog so we don't get many cold callers or weans oot guising, feart they might get bitten.

An awful lot of houses round here were decorated this year.
Enormous spiders seemed to be a favourite.
I wasn't keen on the house done up like a crime scene with fake blood.

Some of the Halloween decorations are brilliant.
I have seen a few houses with huge spiders webs made out of rope, they go down from the roof then spread right across the garden, with a huge spider crawling up it. Very impressive.
The kids that came calling last night had really made an effort with their costumes, they looked brilliant.

Aww, did you give him some sweeties, or hide behind your locked door till it was safe to go out?

I'd have chucked him some haddock but we ate it all
Do you open the door...or just ignore?
