If we eat in it's 'tea' if we eat out it's 'Evening Meal'.
Tonight, and OH is cooking because I still can't bend or move about easily...
Braised steak with onions and carrots, slow cooked in the oven (4 to 5 hours) oven chips or potatoes, he hasn't decided yet.
It's lovely to be waited on.

I think it's against the rules to call it Shepherds Pie unless it has lamb in it.

If it has lamb it's shepherd's if it has beef it's cottage.
My braised steak was lovely....enough for 4 people even though it was just the two of us, total cost, under £5.

That's what I've heard it called too..
At least that's what it's called with beef.
Maybe it should be called Gardener's Pie when there's no meat. 😉

I had cheese baked potatoes out of Marks and Spencer.
I put them in the oven and not the microwave because they come out nice and soft.
I'm not sure what to have tonight.
Maybe some 🐟

I did.
Because I'm of German heritage sauer kraut was pretty common with pork dishes anyway. It's often eaten on top of mashed potatoes, so I guess that's similar.
And I've eaten corned beef and cabbage a lot too, which has potatoes in it too.
I don't eat many potatoes anymore though. I usually substitute another root vegetable like turnips, rutabaga, beets or jicama..
