She's 70 years' old, so I think that's the life span of an elephant. Not saying she's not badly treated, but could be she looks like this because she's so old.
I hope they keep to that, she should be in a sanctuary where no one can ever treat her cruelly again.
Remember Anne? It took a long time for her to be rescued, (I saw her once chained up in a field not far from where I live, the circus was in town, and I have never seen a sadder sight) but eventually she was and is now living in a special sanctuary in Longleat.
It's not ideal because she is lonely, but at least she isn't being tortured anymore.

My gran never wore makeup because she had natural facial beauty.
My mother did wear some makeup..But it was very liberal and only when she got a bit older..She had natural beauty!
As an older male (I'm 50)....I think that i'm really good looking..I use a bit of Nivea on my face every couple of days to stop my skin going dry!...At my mum's 60th photos, the professional that took the pictures said that i was the most photogenic!
It's very sad that people have to cake their selves in shit to make themselves feel better.....Your ugly and frumpy...embrace it, be natural and a proper natural looking granny!
I hope they keep to that, she should be in a sanctuary where no one can ever treat her cruelly again.

Who told you ro wear all of that makeup on your face?
My grandfather loved my gran because she was naturally very pretty!
After he died, she never changed at all and never caked herself in makeup like you do!
Does your OH insist that you wear it?
Is that because you are a dog looking and he wouldn't fuck you unless you wore it?
I hope they keep to that, she should be in a sanctuary where no one can ever treat her cruelly again.

My job is to take care of my OH of 20 years and my two cats!
Local politics...I think that i would be easily elevated to a council position at a time of my choosing!
Just to show a few of the posts some coward chooses to post on a thread dedicated to help a critically ill elephant. Half wit.
The latest news on Tikiiri is that the owner has stopped working her, she is being medicated and is able to stand. Whether she will pull through or not is not clear, obviously she is very old and very ill, but thanks to everyone who did sign the petition...(well over 27.000 now) she wont drop down dead from exhaustion and ill health whilst providing entertainment for the locals.
So the latest on Tikiiri is that the owner has had proper medical care for her, she is now eating, and is looking stronger and healthier than she did.
God willing she will be able to spend the rest of her life being cared for properly.....the owner says he is keeping her because his family love her.
Sad that he was allowed to let her get into such bad condition in the first place...but hopefully all is well that ends well.
That is good news, but the way these elephants have suffered before people have stepped in to try to help is heart breaking.
A piece in that report says that you can see sadness in an elephants eyes, and you can......when I looked at the mistreated Anne the sadness in her eyes haunted me for a long time.
They say elephants never forget the cruelty they have witnesses, when a baby sees it's mother killed and her tusks sawn off, they dont ever forget and have night terrors for a long time.
It's sickening the way man has the power to ruin the lives of so many different species.
She was literally worked to death, in the end it was too late to save her.
Hopefully the publicity that surrounded her plight may help other elephants who are in the same position as she was, I doubt it though.
All we can do is sign petitions and publicise the ill treatment of these beautiful animals when we see or hear about it.
