The bugger has been in it for 15 years lol.

At the time this happened certain folk knew my address and a check on 123.com proves we are both residents at our abode and have been for some time due to bring on the electorate register. I'm sure that's an invasion of privacy but never mind.

However if you want to pretend to believe he doesn't exist "guesty" knock yourself out, it won't make him disappear.

I was thinking about this as I was drifting off last night. No way would I pretend to be in a ltr if I was single. There is no shame in being single!

Infact I wouldn't tell any lies about my life, firstly it wouldn't occur to me personally to do so. But if I didn't like being single although that would be a tad bizarre(welcome to 2020) pretending I had one would make me feel worse...because it wouldn't be real.

Words on a screen don't affect the facts of a persons' real life, you are powerless in that regard. 😉 All you can do is attempt to influence other posters so carry on if it makes you happy...!

I don't get why he feels no loyalty to Swansea, he spent a fair bit of his life there when he was younger yet no affinity to them? ? He would be able to see home games then.

My father supported Spurs as well, massive Dave MacKay fan.
You will have seen the infamous photo of him and the wee swine Billy Bremner?
Dave was just back from a double leg break and Bremner tries to break it again.

I confess that no I haven't seen the photo, I believe it was the elegant footwork of David Ginola that first inspired me to support them. His not unattractive self in general made me feel somewhat inspired. That and to make my father happy, who was truly dedicated to them.
But I became a proper supporter when I moved near White Hart Lane. The lines of tipsy men all along the road outside the pubs made it challenging and a tad Intimidating get to Sainsbury's on match days but the mood in he air was electric. I will never forget it.
I bought my blue and white scarf and my friend and I eventually built up the courage to venture into the pub and watch a game.Pint for her and glass of Rose for me..with a pink straw! 😃
It has made me proud to see them ascend up the Prem from mid table to top five for several years now. I think it made my dad especially happy , the Welsh Rugby team were so diabolical at one point that he genuinely got upset watching them. I do believe Spurs doing well compensated for their poor form.
I would like you to return Vicky and sincerely would like us to be civil to each other. I know we will never be friendly but civil at least, I too love animals and there is an uber cute thread here with Jack's name on it!

My dad stopped supported Spurs when Dave MacKay left and went back to Albion Rovers.
Our home team who have been the butt of jokes for years, still they did when the league five years ago and he bought a top to celebrate.
He was 75 at the time and looked like an old hooligan but then if my team had won the league for only the 3rd time in 138 years, I would probably buy a top too.

When a pet passes away people tend to mock if their owners get upset claiming it's "just a pet" but less clinical folk would totally understand your grief.

My mum cried when our much loved cat died, he simply passed due to old age. He wouldn't open his eyes or move from his cushion yet if you stroked him he would still manage a barely audible soft purr. He was the most affectionate cat , daft as a brush and very soppy.

I'm glad you have Daisy now as she must be a comfort. 😊Pictures are not just wanted, they are REQUIRED on the Uber Cute thread !!

You come back and post when you are feeling better. 👍Fluids and rest are the only things that seem to help and basic bland foods if you can manage them like that old chestnut chicken soup. Hope you feel a bit more like yourself soon

I got the pic from an ugly lamp page Georgia....I just wanted to put a fuddy duddy lamp up to counteract Diggers rather suggestive looking one.

My own taste in lamps are Tiffany style ones...I collect them, I love the stained glass effect they have.
