I don't know because the nearest I get to social media are forums, but there are so many new help groups, keep fit video's, sharing and caring online groups that are keeping people in touch with the outside world. Has this unprecedented crisis made the internet a nicer place to be over the last 3 or 4 weeks?

Twitter is just as twisted as it always is.

 That's a shame.

I keep hearing on local radio that many different groups are being set up online to enable people to join in various activities, I quite fancied joining a water painting one myself.

A friend has joined an online Zumba class....sounds fun.

That's true, but the sad fact is the current crisis just gets recycled and abused as a way for more finger pointing, social judgement, cheap virtue signals and creating division.

A lot of people on twitter have a real need to aggressivley prove how superior they are at others expense.

But it's good that people are utilising it for a better purpose.

I'm not on any SM sites. There's plenty of similar material on YouTube and newspaper articles, including readers' comments. Very useful for helping people cope with this fearful pandemic.

I keep meaning to make time to have a glance at mumsnet but never, ever get round to it lol.

Youtube is alright if you don't put too much store in the comments.

Lots of useful info on there.

The thread that got us into so much drama was one about.....should a man let the woman he is with  take the first taxi home after a night out?

We soon realised we were dealing with a bunch of die hard women's libbers who found it insulting that anyone could believe that yes....it would make sense not to leave a woman alone on the street in the middle of the night whilst her date sailed off home in his nice warm cab.
