The secret of a nice forum.

Especially a smaller forum with ten to fifty regulars. From my experience it is the forum owner/s and helper/s. 

Site owners that a honest, fair and not underhanded and the helper being of similar nature makes a great

forum where you can be honest and share your troubles and never have them thrown back in your face.

I've made two good friends over the years and chat with them usually via Skype, these days.

The forum owner can't be there all day so it is their helper usually turned into a very good friend

make or break the site. On a smaller forum power sharing, IE having the same rights as the owner

to allow new members in, out, edit posts, praise, tell off, tell off even if one of them is a friend 

I think makes a really good site. As importantly, the information the poster shares electronically is not abused

including emails you send, pictures, links and so on. Trust is very hard to build up but can be lost in

a split second. By all accounts this site belongs to Digger who is one of the more, very nice, honest

and fair owners and helping her along is equally as nice is, Syl. Thank you both for letting us

have a laugh, share our feelings, ask questions and know that you two will step in when someone

is being tag teamed or not in a position to answer. For what it's worth, this post is the bottom of my

heart and you two gals are the fairest of them all. Integrity is the key along a nice, clean, warm heart.x

Yes Digger owns the forum, it was Shells, but she passed it on to Digger about 3 or 4 years ago and it's been a nice place to post ever since.

 Being nice is very important especially now when many are feeling worried, low and so on. Being given the opportunity to praise where praise is due is also nice, thank you both.

Yes, I'm aware of Shell, decent with a capital D.

I agree that having fair mods is the secret - Digs and Syl post as members and don't take offence if others have a different opinion.

If you want a decent forum join here guesty, the rest of the site is very different from the Whine. happy

 We gradually grew apart, spoke a couple of times on the phone but usually a hi, how are you and then drifted went our own ways. Very decent and reserved IRL

 I haven't heard from her for a while.   I think she's OK, though.   Last time she was here, she was very upbeat.
