Seen the film starring Kurt Russel released back in the 1980's, that was pretty scary.
If a new version has been made it would have to be good to beat that film.
The Exorcist frightened the hell out of me. I still can't watch it
I remember going to the pics to see that when it first came out. Religious groups were waiting outside in the foyer asking people who were leaving the cinema if they felt they needed any help or guidance after being exposed to such an ordeal.

1982 - for it's time the greatest practical effects ever created, but it was a flop as audiences literally could not believe what they were seeing so Carpenter never got the chance to make another big budget horror (or any expensive film) again.

Speaking of scary, one of the scariest scenes I have ever seen in any film was over in 2 seconds in the Exorcist 111....brilliantly staged.
You scare easily then?
The film is not as scary as your present avi I grant you.
I'd been up for 48 hours, that was taken in a Cairo nightclub. I was that tired my face nearly ended up in my dinner!
I enjoyed your part as in Sadako in Ringu though.
On the subject Hollywood's preposterous new quota rules about what films are 'allowed' to be up for awards are cultural marxism at it's very worst.
No longer will actors/films be viewed on merit but on how many fucking woke characters and themes they can shove in - I expect audiences to desert the cinemas in droves.
If The thing was made today Kurt Russell's character would be a dwarf non-binary spouting shit about how the murderous alien life-form should be welcomed as a part of diversity to his black, disabled, trans lover.

I haven't been to the theater for years. I never watch movies anymore except if I have company and they want to watch them. Then I usually fall asleep. All the BS out of Hollywood has basically put me off of movies. I'm the same way now with sports now too. I'll watch a game if it's on in a bar or brewery, but I don't watch at home.
I just don't care anymore, and if I don't care, you don't get my attention. I'll go look at tree or something I find more entertaining or interesting.

In today's climate many of the greatest films of all time would never have been made.
Personally I think Hollywood has made a huge mistake, a work of art should be judged on merit not a bloody woke/virtue signalling quota system and most of the film going public will agree.
