Shades of Beverley Allitt, who is still in Rampton. Nobody really knows why she killed and injured children, but it was thought she had Munchausen syndrome by proxy - ie, she wanted attention so she injected at least some of them with insulin so that she could "save" them when they became ill.
Beverley Allitt was the name that came to my mind when I heard of this.
So far there is no information about this latest case, apart from the murders and attempted murders happened in 2015 to 2016 at the Countess of Chester hospital.
Only religious people believe in evil. She has been charged but as yet nothing has been proven in court. Rather than demonising an individual based on allegations why not wait for the judicial process to occur?

Who has mentioned religion apart from you?
It's all over the news, forums discuss what's in the news, posters give opinions about what's in the news.
If you have a problem with that maybe forums are not the place for you.

Why the hell are you bringing up religion?
'Demonisng' her?
We could have a long and boring discussion on evolutionary psychology and personality disorders but 'evil' is an expression for behaviour far beyond the norm and I think is currently the best term for killing innocent young babies that comes to mind.
The CPS does not charge people with such serious crimes unless they are 100% sure of a conviction.

It's a sad story all round. Sad for the children who died and their parents, sad for the family of the nurse who did it, and even sad for the nurse herself - to be in a place to do such a terrible thing.

It's incredibly sad, though I doubt many people will have much sympathy for the nurse if she is found guilty.

Why exactly is it sad for the nurse?
Even if she is found insane she will be looked after 24/7 - unlike the babies who are now rotting corpses or ashes.

I don't.
Apparently that makes me a monster.

Why is it sad for her too? Come out of your blinkered mind-box and think about it some more.

I interpret the following as demonising in terms of the title, what is written, the style of the writing and the presentation of the pictures.

It certainly appears so even though she looks as if butter would not melt in her mouth.
Horrifying.
Picture of the accused.
You and Syl disagree and I accept that we disagree. There are ways of reporting on arrests, charges and court cases. Some are written in a sensationalist style, some in a neutral style, and some are hidden.

You are honesty having a pop at me for not having empathy for a baby mass murderer?
Fuck off.

I disagree that I have said anything that hasn't already been splashed all over the papers.
I am aware that the woman hasn't been found guilty as yet.
I am also aware that after being arrested three times and now charged with the murders of eight babies and attempted murders of 10 babies, the CPS must have very strong evidence against her that they believe can be proven in a court of law.

My sympathies lie with the parents and family members of the poor babies who didn't have a chance to live, and who knows what damage was caused to the 10 babies who didn't die?
IF this woman is found guilty, I very much doubt whether many people will have sympathy for her.
