I saw that grovelling apology. An absolute fucking disgrace. I've always thought the celibate state that these people lived in was unnatural. And I believe that people often took up that 'holy' vocation for reasons that weren't genuine, and that there were plenty of psychos in convents and churches.

Many don't realise Mathew Hopkins was actually a very young man whose 'witch finding' career started when he was 24 and he died at 27 (probably of TB).

Just another psychopath operating in the perfect environment of the brutal chaos of the Civil War.
