He is as tough as old boots which will help a lot.

He is mentally, physically, he is very frail.

He spoke of brighter skies ahead not long ago, God willing he will get to see them.

Unfortunately his age is against him, but he's an old soldier, they never give up the battle.

Hopefully he will come through.
His family shouldn’t have taken him to Barbados over Christmas!

Why not? No one lives forever and he wasn’t forced. It was probably his idea.

It was a risk to take a 100 year old on holiday in the present climate, but maybe Sir Tom decided it was a risk worth taking.

Barbados was on his bucket list, no one lives forever, no one knows how long this pandemic will go on, so he went.

Probably as it wasn’t essential travel. There is a pandemic going on you know. bored

I wondered how he'd caught it!

I doubt he caught covid in Barbados, he could have caught a virus that developed into pneumonia whilst travelling.

Thing is his old. If he wanted to see Barbados before he dies who can blame him. He's 100 can't live forever, so enjoyed what he could. Good luck to him.

I agree. It was on his bucket list, somewhere he has always wanted to go.

Presumably  his family didn't break any rules by travelling when they did, if not, as it will probably be his last ever holiday, I hope it was worth it .

There seems to be quite a lot of criticism, both online and on the news, that his family were able to be with him at the end.

If anyone deserved to be with his family at the end it's Sir Tom and I am sure all the correct regulations were followed.

I wonder what the troll arseholes on Twitter did for the NHS in the pandemic?

Sweet FA I expect.
