Anyone with half a brain cell knew that as soon as the US, UK and Coalition forces left the Taliban would stroll straight back into Kabul.
Tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of civilian deaths, tens of thousands of Afghani forces/police fatalities, thousands of US troops gone, hundreds of UK deaths, billions and billions of dollars/pounds spent on this conflict and for what?
Nothing.
The poor women stuck there must be absolutely terrified and the atrocities and war crimes have already begun.
Oh and stoning will be 'for the courts' - what a Dark Age shithole it will become, just like Saudi Arabia.

I don't like Biden, but I think he's doing the right thing. Fighting another country's war is futile. Look what happened with Vietnam. They've chucked trillions at Afghanistan in an effort to build up the country and get them a decent army to defend themselves and looks what's happened. Enough is enough.
War means death. You either stay and fight for your country or allow it to be taken. For the Taliban to be so many means that half the country must have joined them.

It's one of those places which simply does not do democracy and never will, if the British Empire and the Soviets could not tame the place I have no idea why the US thought it could.
A seething mass of savage tribal warlords who are often at each others throats.

I feel for those women and kids, I really do. But what do they expect the world to do? Half the middle east is just sitting there letting it happen. Why the fuck are they all looking to the West to intervene?

Well the Saudi regime is probably delighted, after all they do exactly the same as the Taliban - but of course they have a fucking shitload of oil.

People trying to flee the country make horrendous viewing.
Locals clinging on to planes, running amok through the airports....mostly men trying to get out...they must have forgotten about the women and kids.

They don't count for much in such societies - just like you see the vast numbers illegal immigrants from those areas crossing the channel to try and get into the UK they are almost always fit young men.
Sadly that attitude is shared by many in the Pakistani/Bangladeshi community here - hence the rise of women wearing the Burqa despite what is said by the PC apologists there is no way most of them would choose to wear that appalling garment in a democracy.
They are forced to do so.

You're wearing a face covering now because the government has told you too, I just read a post from you over on the Covid thread and you're complaining about young people walking around your town not wearing a mask and staring at you because you had one on. Your words were fuck um'.
You're just using the Taliban/Afghanistan situation as an excuse to post your biased and racist views thinly disguised as sympathy for a group that you actively hate living in the U.K
Your passive aggressive posting style is not lost on everyone

Being told to temporarily wear a face mask to help stop spread a killer virus is hardly the same as women being ordered to wear a face covering every time she leaves the house.

What the fuck has a surgical mask to do with the burka?

What the fuck has the repressive Burqa got to do with a mask that's stopping me from possibly spreading COVID to others?
Racist?
Do me a favour the Wahhabism version of Islam is not a race dumbo.
Do you support women being treated like beasts of burden and breeding machines?
Is this a good look?
Does it suggest liberation to you?

Just seen this over on NF.
If anyone has seen the news they may have seen taliban members painting over the ads showing female faces and modeling dresses.
Women are already being wiped out.

I have read that very young girls are now being beaten to a human pulp with rifle butts for innocently wearing white shoes.
This is apparently 'disrespectful' to the Taliban's flag.
Fuck 'strategic' considerations by the US.
The chance was there to wipe this human filth out at one point.
Spurned.
BTW Mr pro- Islam should comment on that - but you fucking will not you anonymous coward.

THE MORE i SEE THE MORE i THINK IT HAS BEEN A BIG MISTAKE WITHDRAWING THE TROOPS. lAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER COME TO MIND.
aND THE REPERCUSSIONS THIS WILL HAVE ON THE REST OF THE WORLD DOESN'T BARE THINKING ABOUT.
(sorry, caps)
I'm beginning to think the same. I still hold that one country cannot fight another's war, but I think they have withdrawn way too quickly. But then some might argue that 20 years is long enough and that they must surely have known this was coming.

How do you know “Mr pro-Islam“ is male?
Their support for the Burqa for a start.
All the bullshit about women in the UK using the garment as a statement of 'freedom' is just that - bullshit.
