I heard audio of the attack on the firemen. They were saying 'check your windows are wound up', so they probably didn't get a chance to get out of the vehicle and deploy the hose.
I don't know if it's illegal for firefighters to turn a hose on people who are preventing them putting out a fire. If it is, it shouldn't be,

She is commissioner of the London police force, so has nothing to do with the north, but lack of decent policing is nationwide.

Even if the police do make arrests, most of the time it never gets to court, and even if it does, the sentences are so pathetic it hardly matters.

I agree Syl. This country's gone to pot.

It's gotten worse in the last few years. The lack of respect towards the emergency services is horrible.
