A heard a segment on the radio last week about 'Regifting' and the DJ said "we've all done it"
Actually I haven't but I have been on the receiving end a few times.
Has anyone here 'Regifted' something? Or have you been given something that clearly was bought for someone else?
My mother's sister was well known for "Regifting' things.
Her last gift to my mum was a bloody awful purple scarf with gold flecks and a couple of make up samples.
Probably why she hasn't spoken to her for years...
I don't do it generally, but I have been on the receiving end too. How did I know? I just did. Did it piss me off? Yes, a bit if it was the main gift. Have I done it? A couple of times as an add on gift on top of the main one, rather than waste the item. Usually things like candles when I have dozens of them
Not regifted as such, just given away a few…. one I remember was from some Secret Santa shite one year, a pair of long stripey socks with fkn toes in …. I gave them to a mates 10 year old, she loved them!

It makes sense really...what you find hideous someone else might love.
I can't remember ever regifting anything myself. The MIL used to buy us horrific ornaments every Christmas, I remember one was a big, brown, pot shire horse pulling something unrecognisable. I put it in the loft rather than burden anyone else with it.

I can only imagine the arsing around you'd have to do to get your fucking toes in them.

That's different Digs, it's getting one as the main present that annoys me.
My cousin (The tight-arses daughter) gave me a plastic lighter for my 40th birthday.
I wasn't very amused because it had been her 30th birthday two years earlier and I had spent a lot of time buying her present.
