This Fundraising event by the Homeless Charity Crisis has divided people with some saying it's a great idea and others saying it's a stupid and irresponsible to ask people to stay awake for 24 hours.
I would have no trouble doing it because my insomnia is terrible but that's just me.

How does this help anyone?

It's just virtue signaling.

How would we show we care more than anyone else if we could not do BS like this?

It started for me four years ago Mags, when my Jack died.

Before that I had no trouble falling asleep and used to get a decent sleep each night.

I even fell asleep in the dentist's once when I was getting fillings, dentist thought it was hilarious!!

I fast 24 hours twice a week, today included.

I hope the people of Africa appreciate it. wink

I fasted for 4 days a couple of weeks ago...I had that horrible norovirus, had no choice. bored

I will donate money, hoping it's going to go to the appropriate cause. Sleeping rough for a night, fasting, giving up sleep....just what good does that do for anyone, other than make yourself feel all virtuous?
