They've been caught out and that's that. The claims they were doing their job doesn't really cut the mustard. Because the event was filmed in such detail by the BBC that there was no need for those two to parade in there so their viewers could 'share the experience'. It wasn't as if they could stand there and make a commentary.
Whichever way you look at this, it was thoughtless and badly planned. Typical of the snowflake producers and these two clowns.

Everyone is judge and jury nowadays...as long as they can do it all hidden behind their computers. The pair, will no doubt be receiving death threats next.
"A petition calling for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby to be sacked from This Morning has reached more than 36,000 signatures in just four days in the wake of their queue jumping saga.
The ITV presenters were subjected to intense bullying online after they were falsely accused of skipping the queue to see the late Queen lying in state. 41-year-old Holly and 60-year-old Phillip explained that, as members of the press, they did not have to join the queue as they were reporting on the events.
The petition - labelled ''Axe Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby from TV' was set launched on Saturday by Laura Harrison, who called the duo 'toxic.'
"If enough people sign we can show ITV that the public do matter," wrote Laura.
At the time of publishing, the petition has reached 36,505 signatures. The original target was 15,000 which has now been increased to 50,000."
The pair addressed the backlash they have faced on their daytime show and assured people they "would never jump the queue".

I don't think they should lose their jobs. Why don't people just boycott This Morning?
Yep...queue jumpers, they are not journalists, they are light TV presenters, they added nothing to the presentation.
That's it in a nutshell. They contributed nothing because they couldn't, it was pointless. And not the place to 'present' anything. It was a sombre occasion and should have been treated with respect not made into a media spectacle.

Phillip's career has shot through the roof since he outed himself (forget about his poor ex wife of many years) and if everything I have heard is to be believed then Holly blew herself upwards on to our screens.
They could only jump the queue because they were allowed to.
They didn't force their way through to the front. I see many people standing on that raised part and they too must have queue jumped. Why just these two pick out?
Can't bear them, but to sign a petition for them to lose their jobs? That's shocking.
Meanwhile, Beckham is praised for queuing. Why wouldn't he queue, all that camera time, front page as he knew it would be? Let's face it he could have gone in normal clothes and a cap and not drawn attention to himself. but didnt.
Can't stand any of them but at least Phillip and Holly did what most would have done given the chance and not pretend they were "one of the people"
I do pop on for a look about now and then and couldn't resist replying to this one!
I'm with magica, I can't stand either Phil or Holly. I think they believe they are the king and Queen of daytime tv....(and the rest of the evening shows they do)
I am not a lover of the show anyway, but I might tune in from time to time if they paired a decent couple together.
