Anyone watched it?   Medical shows are not really my cup of tea, and I rarely watch them but as I have a close friend with Crohns Disease, and the subject was Crohns, I thought I'd watch it.  It was really interesting and didn't involve seeing any poo!

This model? nervous How can you not go to the loo for weeks?

A 'poo-shy' model has revealed how she collapsed during a photoshoot after not going to the toilet for two weeks.

Emmerald Barwise, from Wrexham, Wales, used to think avoiding the loo for days and sometimes weeks was a 'normal' thing.

The 36-year-old, who specialises in 1940s/50s vintage modelling, began to suffer from serious bloating while working on set.

Emmerald does not eat before shooting and admitted her lifestyle affects socialising such as going out for dinner.

The professional model claimed she can look pregnant on set when she skips going to the loo for weeks on end.

WHAT IS FAECAL IMPACTION?

Faecal impaction, where faeces has built-up in the rectum, can sometimes lead to a number of other complications, including:

  • swelling of the rectum
  • a loss of sensation in and around your anus
  • bowel incontinence
  • bleeding from your anus
  • rectal prolapse – where part of your lower intestine falls out of place and protrudes from your anus (this can also occur as a result of repeated straining in people with chronic constipation)

Faecal impaction is usually treated with laxative medication, although suppositories (medication inserted into the anus) and mini enemas (where medicine in fluid form is injected through your anus) may sometimes be used.

I knew a girl that had that problem and had to go to the hospital.

On a similar topic, I bought a bunch of beets and ate them for several meals.

They will dye your shit beet colored if you eat enough like I did.

I thought I was bleeding internally until I diagnosed myself on Google. 😳

The after effects of eating beetroot can be very alarming if you forget. lol

Watching Cheryl Baker having colonic irrigation performed live on camera years ago dampened my curiosity of ever again watching all things poo related.

 Here's a horror story.

When I was about 8 years old I was staying with my aunt and her son, who was about 13.  He was a big fat indolent bastard and would use a fishing rod to change TV channels so he didn't have to get up.  Anyhow, one day he wasn't well, and this nurse arrived and I heard all this screaming going on from him.  He kept pleading, "No, No, No" over and over and being a kid, I had no idea what was going on.

Years later, my mum told me what happened.   He hadn't been to the toilet for a shit for months and ended up with faecal impaction and the nurse had to try and get all out manually.   Eventually he had to go into hospital and have it surgically removed.  The surgeon told my aunt they removed two full buckets of concrete hardened shit from his bowels.  Then he bollocked her for not regulating her son's diet and bowel habits.

Jeez, can you imagine?
