Good, named and shamed and their pictures shown all over the internet...serves them right.
"A couple who stayed at a hotel stole the entire contents of their room and smiled at a CCTV camera as they made a dash for it.
They stayed at the Dolphin Hotel and Restaurant in Pembroke Dock, West Wales, and the hotel owner said they appeared ‘super friendly’.
But the scheming pair arrived with one small bag for the one night £80 stay and ‘left with much more’.
Hotel boss Natalie Newton, 43, said: ‘They made off with the kettle, luxury towels, a lamp, the tea and coffee container, a charging tower and other stuff.
‘This will cost at least £200 to replace everything but it also meant I couldn’t rent the room out again until it was all replenished.’
Natalie said the crime could not have come at a worse time for the business which has been in the family since 1999.
‘We’re trying to run a boutique hotel and restaurant but first we had Covid and now we have the cost of living crisis – I don’t know how much longer we can keep going,’ she said.
‘I tried contacting the couple. I have phoned the number they left, I have messaged them but they haven’t come back. I even tried charging their card but the payment was declined.’"
People like this make me sick.
I worked in a lovely country pub once. One day a customer used the ladies loo, climbed on the toilet seat and took the curtains down. The next day they came back and actually took down the curtain rings the curtains had been hung on.
It was a busy place, so we had no idea who it was.
Another time the landlady had a brain haemorrhage behind the bar, she actually died. A group of businessmen took the opportunity to leave without paying for
their lavish lunches. We felt sure they would get in touch at a later date and pay for their food and drinks, they didn't.
"A hotel boss has been asked to remove online footage of thieves who stripped their room nearly bare because police claim it is 'causing them distress'.
The officer's exact words were that it was causing them distress,' Natalie said.
'I don't want to be hard or spiteful but they should have thought of that before they took everything from the room.'
Beautician Martine Rendell, 43, and her boyfriend, whose identity is unknown, arrived at the 10-bedroom seaside hotel last Saturday night and had no luggage when they checked in.
The couple were caught on CCTV going to their car the next morning to fetch two bags to load their haul into."

She should have told the cops.'Tell them the video will come down as soon as they return everything they stole' she should also make sure every hotel or rental has pictures of these to posted in their lobbies.

I hope the local newspapers and politicians support the Hotel Owners and I hope the local police get the opprobrium they deserve for not arresting the culprits and returning all the stolen items. The local police are supposed to work for the Hotel Owners and not the thieves.
