I'm going to see if I can find some.

How bad can it be? 🤷

I can't stand it.  You either love it or hate it.

 The ads are funny.

It's years since I had it, I can still remember the taste though.

I quite liked it.

If you find some spread it on a piece of toast very very sparingly or you'll seriously not like it.

If you like that build it up from there.

I love the stuff savoury and salty.

I think it's banned in Canada because the company won't reveal what the supposedly secret ingredient is.

If there is one then I'm guessing dried anchovies even though there is absolutely no fish taste but

I reckon that's where the saltiness comes from.

You could be onto something there Rolly. I also detected a hint of something vaguely ‘fishy‘ in it too.

used to love some thinly-spread Marmite on hot buttered toast. But I stopped eating bread ages ago, so… dunno

I grew up on Marmite.  We would have it on hot buttered toast, it's delicious but you only have to have a tiny smidge otherwise it's very strong and isn't nice.  I think most people who say they don't like it, have spread it too thickly.   You need an almost invisible layer, just a scraping.   It's fooking gorgeous.

It's made from the residue of beer making, so I read.

I very rarely eat bread now, and when I do it has to be organic.  Supermarket bread makes me ill.  It's all the additives.

I dont really eat bread either.

But they have the spouted grain stuff in the freezer section that I might try.

It's just kind of pricey and I dont know if I could eat a whole loaf after a let it thaw.

Anyway, I like anchovies and beer, so i might like this.

What is vegamite? Same thing but in Australia??

Looking back to old ads...here's one news information clip that puts women in their place, treating women like second class citizens was the norm pre 60's.

We were good for some things though. lol
