I think we have broken a large number of young men in society. I don't think many even have a clue how to be a man anymore.
Reading between the lines I'm guessing you think you're a real man while others aren't. If that's the case what are the attributes you've got that make you a real man?
Personally I think not having a decent man in the house when kids are growing up has a lot to do with the way some men act now.
If there ares no male role model, brought up by females, or maybe substitute dads who don't have any fatherly love for the kids, I think that has to have an effect on how teens, young men, and eventually adults act.

I will watch the vid later.
I have three brothers who are living proof that having no father figure doesn't do any damage. We were all raised by my mother for most of our lives, myself with no father figure, and my brothers with a violent murderer for a dad for the first ten years of that marriage. My mum was father and mother to us all for most of the time. We all turned out fine.

Obviously not everyone who has had no father figure in their life is lacking....I had none myself, and I am fabulous.
My point is the breakdown in families has had an effect ...especially on boys.

Thats my opinion.
Perhaps this is more prevalent now due to changing mentalities. I'm sure during the war years when so many fathers lost their lives, kids just had to get on with it.

I think my SILs are real men too.
Part of what makes us what we are, is the environment in which we are raised. I was raised to believe hard work was a virtue. Suffering and discomfort were part of life. Sacrifice is important.
I never checked out of education, relationships nor work.
I sure as hell didn't go years without sex in my 20s because I didn't know how to interact with females..
And I'm not really blaming young men. They didn't raise themselves, their parents did. Sorta like when I see a.fat teenager. Who's fault is that? They aren't doing the grocery shopping.

Most of us over a certain age were brought up to just meet challenges head on and get on with it. Nobody ran me to school in a car, or took me to where I wanted to go as a kid. It was a case of here's the bus fare, off you go. And we never had the kind of food on offer now. My mum did all the cooking and we never went hungry but we were never fat either.

True, but women are thriving compared to the past.
This is impacting boys differently.
Which indirectly impacts women (unless you're a lesbian or a nun)..
Something Scott didn't mention in the video is medication. Boys are far more likely to be medicated for ADHD. Those drugs rewire the brain a little. Then as soon as they hit puberty they are told they are toxic males by some females, while having their DMs filled with naked pictures of other girls.
They are over medicated, over weight, confused, poorly educated and scorned at times for being too male.

Scott Galloway has been making the rounds lately, and of course Maher has been around for decades..
They talk sense.
After the breakdown in families, I would say the internet is definitely one of the main causes in the change of men...not always young ones either.
Women seem to have adapted better to modern life, more are self reliant, and they have the choice when or if to have babies now.
If enough men feels redundant, or rejected (swipe left syndrome) so fill their leisure time online, either playing games war or watching porn...no wonder they are in crisis.
Young men have lower overall levels of testosterone than their parents and grandparents..🤷
I think a lot of the rubbish that gets included in food production is the most likely explanation, odd that smoking increases (marginally) testosterone levels, but even then, less crap was put in cigarettes than today.
Sitting down more, tight underpants, emotionally feeling less manly cos women have more power, and plain old natural evolution could also come into play.
If the rabid nonbinary lot stick around for a few hundred thousand years....maybe they will eventually get their wish.

Obesity is probably the biggest cause amd many of the things you listed cause obesity (except tight underpants, which are a result of obesity)..
It's possible to raise your testosterone by hitting the gym and eating a lot of protein.
Playing video games and eating ultra processed shit has the opposite effect.

Do you mean that women have more voice and independence? Yes, but it's been a long hard fight. However, I'm not too sure about women who try to think and behave like men in order to show the world how emancipated they are. The "I don't need a man" brigade who eschew gallant male gestures like opening doors for them, think they can physically attack and hit men with impunity and generally behave in a laddish unfeminine way. Women will never be physically equal to men. And we think differently, and have different ways of processing emotions. To try and reverse those roles just doesn't work and seems to have a detrimental effect on the way men interact with women who behave like this and it perhaps has a knock on effect with women generally. A woman's power is her femininity. Lose that, and you're just 'one of the lads' and will get treated accordingly.
Add to that the poison of social media, easy on line access to porn and the dark web to young minds and it's no wonder there's problems.

Yes, women have more voice and independence, and that's a good thing.
What's not is calling men being men, toxic..
Both genders need each other at the top of their game to have healthy relationships..
Talking about shit in food I put quite a few things back on the shelf after scanning the ingredients list!
A lot of stuff out there is food like substances but not food.
Few months ago we were getting grandkid stuff and a large bag of crisp type things had quite a lot of ingredients but no food!
The nearest single thing to food was one item... potato starch.
Is potato starch a food I asked myself as I chucked it back on the shelf?
If I read an ingredients list and have to question it it doesn't make it out of the shop.
Often the ingredients list is a chemistry set list and that can't be good long term.
When confronted with such a list it's worth asking yourself do I know what that is?
If you don't then remind yourself each time that you came in the shop for food.
Are these combinations of strange chemical substances dangerous in any way?
No one knows.
We are living longer lives but not everyone makes it to longer and many who do no longer know who they are or where they are.
Entire lives erased but a zombie body left behind still with a beating heart.
On men losing the ability to be men I think there are multiple causes and we're all different.
What one survives can crush another.
A boy being disciplined all his growing life by a woman may crush some of them.
No role model of physical strength and providing other than from a woman.
I've known and know some very strong and loving women left to do it all and whether that love and discipline all works out in the end for many boys is more of a gamble I think than it is with house and home with mum and dad there.
Wait till your father gets home might actually carry some benefits.

Perhaps lack of testosterone is being covered up by false bravado, starting when young.
Seeing young kids acting like little yobs, swearing at adults, showing zero respect for others is commonplace now. Two schoolboys around 12 or 13 stepped out in front of the car yesterday, a warning beep was met by a two fingered salute, and a load of abuse...wasted cos I had the radio on.
A few years on those kids will be strutting around like Cock of the North, but would probably run a mile when faced with the real dilemmas life throws. Which makes me think, maybe bringing back some form of National service would be good for the youth of the country.
