Why does the English Press and English Sport Pundits make England the favorites?   Every tournament England are made the favorites, from the Golden Generation, to the current misfit in transition side without an experienced defense.  Then when England do perform poorly the English press slam them demanding the manager be sacked.  Southgate Must Win is the headline everywhere in the English Media. 

For me making the quarter final would be about par and anything beyond that would be an over achievement.    However given the excesses of the English Media I wouldn't mind England not making it out of the qualifying group.  

You don't win tournaments without an excellent defense and the English defense is poor, certainly a lot poorer than previous English sides.  As a result hard working solid teams could cause England serious problems such as those found in the qualifying group.  We have very good individual attacking players but some of them are inexperienced at international senior level and have hardly played together as a team (Foden, Bellingham).

We as in Scotland are playing Switzerland on Wednesday.

One things for sure, we can't play any worse than we did on Friday against the Germans!!

When it comes to tournaments Germany generally perform well.  They certainly have a better record than England and Scotland combined.   Germany on home soil are one of the favorites in my book.   Scotland got caught cold by one of the favorites.    There is nothing to be downbeat about.   Scotland are not gonna suddenly become prime Brazil, nor prime Argentina, nor prime France, nor prime Germany, nor prime Spain.  You can't make an omelette if all you have is flour and water and salt.   Scotland is a pancake to Germany's omelette.

 Scotland just don't have the players anymore.

The days of Scotland producing world class players are finished.

Hopefully we'll get a win out one of our two remaining games and not come back with three defeats.

Denis Law is the only Scottish footballer to ever be voted the best player in the world.

Kenny Dal was runner up, different years of course.
