 He wouldn't have got away with doing nothing at all, it's more whether he did enough or not, and the answer is clearly no. In the last few days, his spokespeople have been listing some of the things he did do - well that was his job, so of course he did some things!

Had he applied anything like the same enthusiasm he did last summer, fast tracking the rioters through the courts and giving them stiff prison sentences, then I'm sure the scale of the rape gang's activities and the number of victims would have been greatly reduced.

That he has publicly admitted the CPS under his watch failed the child victims, and that the ethnicity of the suspects was an issue, he no longer has a leg to stand on. He can't undo what he has already admitted to.

No amount of backtracking or listing the things he did do is going to change that.

I wouldn't send untranslated foreign text to my best mate, let alone release them as the governing party of the country to promote 'rebuilding Britain' LoL.

An elderly Tory MP stood up and said 'Starmer has made much of his time when he was head of the CPS, could he explain why he declined to charge Al Fayed over rape and sexual abuse charges'

The face on Starmer was a picture...he brushed the question away by saying 'that case never crossed my desk'. That's the very same excuse that was made when he was asked about Jimmy Saville.

Starmer was head of CPS, Saville and Fayed were two well known important authoritative figures, the police had gathered damning evidence against them both, yet Starmer knew nothing about either case.

He, and other European leaders, are getting frustrated with American style freedom of speech. Elon isn't going to shut up, and these leaders are frustrated knowing they can't really make him. Especially with the incoming administration.

Starmer can arrest people in the UK for mean social media posts. His hands are tied when it comes to white African Americans over here..😎
