The previous government had safety fears over AI in that there was a possibilty it could 'destroy civilisation'.

Even the people making the most powerful AI haven't worked out yet how best to use it.

Meanwhile, Starmer has announced today that he intends to 'mainline AI into the veins of the UK' and 'fully embrace' it.

What could possibly go wrong?

I remember watching a sci-fi film decades ago. An AI programmed computer in a womans home (she may have been played by actress Julie Christie) became so powerful it took over. It ends up raping and impregnating her.

Far fetched, but in Starmers world it wouldn't take much for the machines to rule....and it'd save him the job.

There have been several films where Ai gets out of control and takes over. I'm not sure to what extent that could happen, but it does sound feasible, especially with that fool 'mainlining it into our veins'. I would imagine it will be riddled with woke nonsense.

I'm sure jobs will be created around AI, but how many current jobs will become redundant for humans? i'm not sure what the balance will be and I'm not confident that Starmer knows either. It could easily go tits up and we end up with huge numbers of unemployed..

Just a thought...but could Starmer actually be a very low grade AI controlled human? shock
He does look very glassy eyed and robotic lately.

LoL I almost posted something similar. He seems so detached from reality as not to appear human at times.

Rachel Reeves has a very robotic voice, so maybe her too.

David Lammy could be part of an Artificial Unintelligence programme.

Maybe it's already started!

David Lammy is too thick to  be AI.

I was reading about one of the Oldham victims, Samantha, now 31 but just 12 when she was raped by 9 Asian men in the space of 24 hours. Her story shows why there must be a national inquiry, not just centred on the gangs but the part that police, social workers etc played in it as well. Those people need to be brought to justice just as much as the rapists.

Her story is even worse than it first seems when you realise it wasn't a single incident, but four seperate ones, with the last three being avoidable had the police done their job properly.

Clearly a problem child, she had asked to be put into a care home herself, but social workers ignored her. She was drunk in a graveyard with friends when she was assaulted by an Asian man called Ali. She went to the police only to be told to come back later when she was sober and to bring an adult with her.

Three other men hanging around the police station offered her a lift and all three raped her. Dropped off at a park, she asked a man for directions, and he raped her too. She later encountered five Bangladeshis, who also all raped her. None of these groups of men knew the other groups or individuals - they were all seperate unrelated attacks - and only one of the Bangladeshis went to prison, with all the others still free.

There are so many accounts like this girls.
Growing up in Rochdale and Oldham, two towns next to each other, plus the many other towns where these gangs operated, must have been a nightmare for young poor white kids, many of them already let down by the authorities.

"A father-of-three who psychologically and physically abused his vulnerable partner before she took her own life has been jailed for six-and-a-half years.

Fleetwood hairdresser Kiena Dawes was 23 when she died on a railway line in Lancashire on 22 July 2022.

The mother-of-one left a note on her mobile phone claiming she was "was murdered" and that her boyfriend, 30-year-old Ryan Wellings, was a "monster and a bully" who had "killed" her.

Wellings was cleared of her manslaughter by a jury at Preston Crown Court but convicted of assault and coercive and controlling behaviour relating to the abuse she suffered during her life" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czj3drenvl2o

A young mum abused so much she felt taking her own life was a better option to living. And this abusive arsehole gets a measly 6.5 years even though he had a history of DV!  Tougher sentences should be handed out to these abusers to show that raising your fist has consequences.

A smiling Kiena Dawes, who has long brown hair and wears a long-sleeved black top, reaches towards the top of a Christmas tree while holding her baby daughter

She was a beautiful young woman and mother.

The law is a joke.

She was and it is Syl.

Apparently, he showed no remorse in court, even blowing a kiss to his latest girlfriend when being led away after sentencing. I'd to think he'll get his comeuppance in prison but I doubt it very much, she was just female after all.

I've just watched a short vid of him crying in the back of a police wagon upon his arrest, PMSL... didn't look or sound such a hard man. Hoping others make him cry a lot more now he's banged up. I hope someone out there makes a meme of it.

Can only chip in to correct a mistake. Nothing positive to say though.

There's not much positive to say about children being raped.
