“ A woman who wheeled her daughter’s body around in a pram could have her sentence for allowing the youngster’s death increased at the Court of Appeal as “unduly lenient”.
Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell, 24, was jailed for 10 years in December last year after pleading guilty to child cruelty and causing or allowing the death of her two-year-old daughter, Isabella Wheildon, at the hands of her partner, Scott Jeff.
The pair then continued to wheel Isabella’s body around in a pushchair before leaving her in a bathroom at a hostel for the homeless in Ipswich in June 2023.
But Gleason-Mitchell’s sentence could now be increased after Solicitor General Lucy Rigby agreed to refer the case to the Court of Appeal following a request from shadow safeguarding minister Alicia Kearns.“ https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clynqdwnxq1o
Good. Allowing the abuse, wheeling her dead child around then dumping her body like trash is only worth 10 years. She should have received the same sentence as her boyfriend, she is just as guilty of murder as he is.
There were videos of them laughing and larking about as they pushed the dead baby around.
Cruel and evil, and sadly she will be young enough to have more babies when she is released.

I felt sick watching the videos. They should have got life for ffs!
"Isabella had sustained fractures to both of her wrists and her pelvis – injuries which were consistent with having been kicked or stamped on – and also had extensive bruising all over her body. Bone marrow from her pelvic injuries entered her bloodstream and lungs, causing the embolism.
A world-leading bone expert who conducted some of the further tests after the initial post-mortem, told the court that in his 40-year career Isabella’s injuries were the worst he had seen. Such was the severity of the fractures he likened them to what you would expect to see following a high-speed road collision."

The latest buzzword from the government is 'growth' - they can't stop bloody talking about it! That and blaming the Tories for everything. You can only get so much mileage out of blaming your opponents, and they are way past that. It's become tedious now and it comes across as them trying to mask their own shortcomings by blaming others all the time.
Anyway 'growth' - a third runway for Heathrow, which will be ready by......2050! Most of this government will be dead or retired by then, so no accountability if it all goes tits up. However, I imagine they will play the brand shiny new 'Heathrow Card' whenever it suits them to.
Meanwhile, its costing the taxpayer 3K a day to kit every illegal out with with new clothes and shoes (and phones for some). £4 million over 3 years, which the Home Office (Yvette Cooper's department) says is 'justified'
The rot set in when we chose to leave the EU as our current Brexit deal leaves the UK 30 million worse off annually. The millions of funding for the NHS that Michael Gove and farage promised if Brexit won the day of course never came to fruition. Both want to abolish free healthcare! Starmer needs to make the most benefical deal with the EU that is possible. Brexit allowed the uber rich to become richer still as do the unfair tax laws that benefit millionares. Austerity has broken britain once with the Tories and labour are foolish to be emulating them with cutting tax credit for pensioners who are by no means rich. For Britain to cease to be broken the working class need more money in their pocket, for pay rises to align with inflation, for vital housing to be made more affordable. Basically treating the working class like human beings. The only way this can be achieved is by taxing the absurdly wealthy a suitable amount. But no government will..! Austerity and growth are sadly mutually exclusive.

If you over tax the wealthy they'll fuck off out of Britain and take their money with them. Which means most of the rest of us have to foot the bill. Britain is broken because we have weak leaders, no focus on the rights of the people born in this country and a massive immigration problem. We have too many who won't work. There are now over 6 million people on benefits in this country.
Approximately 11 million working age people in the UK don't have a paid job. About 9.3 million of them are not called unemployed because they're not actively looking for work, or available to start a job. Instead, they're called economically 'inactive'. Some might call them lazy bastards. But....gone are the days when you could lose your job on a Friday and step into a new one on Monday. We now live in a compensation culture and greed motivated era.
Nothing to do with Brexit.
As for the NHS, you can chuck as much money at it as you like and it won't improve it that much because unlike countries like Singapore, who have the best rated healthcare system in the world, Britain doesn't put an emphasis on personal responsibility and health awareness. If chucking money at the NHS worked, we'd wouldn't still be leaving people to die in hospital corridors or waiting 5 hours or more for an ambulance.
I think its a given we were financially better off prior to Brexit. UK businesses were able to trade easier and in a more cost effective way with their european neighbours. It wasn't the fault of the voter, they were lied to. As for immigration levels they have soared in recent years. Prior to Brexit immigration was at far lower levels. Many millionaires have actually offered to pay more tax as they realise the disparity is causing the working class to live in poverty while they continue to profit. And if the others flounce just for being taxed a fair share ( a mere pittance to them) then just let them leave. We are broken with them here!

Covid lockdown did a lot of damage. A lot.
Millions of adults of working age now claim incapacity and disability benefits, estimated at more than 39 per cent from pre-pandemic 2019. It's predicted to hit four million before the decade is out. Almost 3,000 people a day are signed off work and approved for sickness benefits. It created a shit storm of self pity where people demanded to work from home, or they suffered mental health issues, blah blah. The bill for sickness benefits is £80b.
Covid spawned a blight of lazy feckless self entitled individuals happy to play the victim instead of picking themselves up and knuckling down to work and life. And our Government and society not only let them do it but encouraged it by doing fuck all about it and pandering to their demands and lack of motivation.
A big march in London to release people arrested for saying something silly. Also to free Tommy Robinson. Also to make Britain British!
The dictator is now cancelling local elections in May, which is unprecedented. He knows he will lose!
This just can't go on, we need help!
“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what."

The Sunday Times are serialising a book about Starmer 'Get In'
The general consensus among his own people is that he doesn't know very much about politics. The Chief of Staff said he was more like a HR manager than a leader, and Angela Raynor said he was so inept he couldn't run a bath LoL. Credit to Rayner though in that she also referred to Prince Andrew as 'the nonce'.
Accusations have surfaced that he broke lockdown rules by having a voice coach visit him at the height of the pandemic, as he wasn't happy with his 'wooden presentation style' - I hope he kept the reciept on that one!
Labour have responded by claiming the voice coach was a key worker. Yeah right.
Starmer is trying to improve trade laws that Brexit made and caused many businesses to fail. He also has to walk a fine tightrope by cosying up to EU countries whilst trying to maintain a close relationship with the US lest Trump unleashes tariffs our way. He is doing a better job than any of the tory pm's in recent memory would. Do u recall Liz Truss destroying the country's finances within a day? Bafoon Boris allowing the pandemic to take hold by keeping the airports open and starting lockdown far later than necessary. Lets not forget partygate! I'm not keen on starmer but lets give him a chance to see how he fares first.
