Maybe Britain is not as near to broken as first thought.
The feared protests tonight were largely peaceful.

Unfortunately, this is how authority works on many levels. If the people politely and calmly say thers is a problem here that needs to be addressed, they often get brushed aside..

Raise a little hell and people in power pay attention. The good ones may even pay attention to your concerns. Others will simply try to discount the people and their concerns, and label them as non team players or some shit..

I have no faith in any governments listening to people.

They panicked when the riots were going on a couple of weeks ago, the counter protestors calmed things down more than the police and authorities did. All Starmers lot did was make a huge noise about how many thugs have already been caught and jailed....yet the Muslim airport thugs are still free.

Our fuel bills are set to rise again in the winter...winter fuel payments have been stopped for millions of pensioners, the present government blame the previous government for the shortfall which has to be made up by the most vulnerable people in society.

Meanwhile 492 migrants arrived here illegally yesterday, they will be housed and fed at the expense of the little man and woman in the street.

I should have said hear as opposed to listen..

Often all you get out of them is a reaction and a label as a bad citizen.

That may or may not be better than simply being ignored when you tried it nicely..

I don't either. I don't trust Starmer, it's scary what he's doing to this country. He is not addressing any of the immigration problems, just sticking people into already overcrowded prisons, for even speaking out about muslims.

Now stealing money from pensioners, as you say. Maybe they will die off fast so more houses can go to his protected illegals!

We needed people to work here after our own population had been diminished. The NHS would have gone under decades ago without immigration.

Then Jewish people came in droves, and they settled without causing problems, as did most other races and religions.

Many Muslims don't want to mix with others....that's their choice, I imagine plenty Brits settle in Spain and don't mix much with the Spaniards, but neither do they want to take control.

The biggest problem with immigration we have now are the illegals travelling here by boats, That only started less than a decade ago, and it's causing huge problems and resentment....not to mention crime.

Shoplifting has increased drastically across the country.

Charity shops are a prime target (how low can some people go?) one manager stating that almost every day items get stolen from their shop.

So called 'experts' put the increase down to the cost of living crisis, or mental illness.

Nearer the truth would be greed, and the fact that so many people want something for nothing and have never learned that you have to actually work for the things in life that you want.

This a sad story in the news today. Poor man just trying to do an honest day's work and save himself from getting sacked.

A brave delivery driver who was killed trying to stop a 'vanjacking' clung on to the passenger door for half a mile when a thief jumped behind the wheel.

The courier, in his forties, was on his rounds delivering Amazon parcels on Tuesday evening when his grey transit van was stolen in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

He was delivering a package to a house at about 6.45pm when he returned to see a man jumping into his vehicle.

He tried to stop the thief by getting into the van himself, but the suspect drove away at speed, dragging the driver for half a mile as he desperately hung out of the door.

The silver Ford Transit Cargo then smashed into two parked cars, around half a mile from where the theft occurred.

As the courier lay dying in the street, the thief drove off, and abandoned the vehicle six miles away in Heights Drive.
