Could be a copy cat stabbing after the little girls in Southport were attacked. I read he was a stranger who stabbed this girl and her Mum.
According to news neither have life threatening injuries, thanks to a security guard who gave his name as Abdullah, who jumped on the attacker and disarmed him.

Eye witnesses say it was a white man, looked homeless, seen acting in an agitated manner previously.
He seemed to target the little girl more than her mum, putting her head in an armlock and repeatedly stabbing her.

"A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of an 11-year-old girl who was stabbed eight times while visiting Leicester Square as a tourist with her mother.
Ioan Pintaru, 32, appeared at Westminster magistrates court on Tuesday and is also charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place, which the court heard was a steak knife.

The court heard Pintaru is a Romanian citizen of no fixed address and the charges were read to him through an interpreter during the 10-minute hearing.

Prosecutor David Burns said a woman and her 11-year-old daughter were in Leicester Square as tourists when the defendant “approached the 11-year-old girl, placed her into a headlock … then stabbed her eight times to the body”.

He added: “She sustained wounds to the face, shoulder, wrist and neck area. Fortunately members of the public intervened, which prevented any further injury to the child.”

The man has a four year old child of his own. I hope they deport him after he's served his time. No doubt he'll get a few years then get let off.

To be fair, this guy sounds homeless and is likely mentally ill.

These type people always have the capacity to be dangerous as fuck, regardless of their place of birth.

When I lived "more in the city" these people were common. One I named Ol Yeller because he would run up to people screaming. He really didn't bother me because I could make him back down by yelling louder. But I would not have wanted one of my daughters to have to deal with him. He was fairly intense.

Another I called Black Jesus because he was black dude that marched around with a metal pole screaming Bible verses. He was pretty intimidating to a lot of people.

Once in a while they get arrested, taken to the county hospital, spend 3 days in the psych ward and get turned loose again..

There has been a recent case here where his mental illness was known and yet the man was free to go on a killing spree.

"A doctor warned three years before the Nottingham attacks that Valdo Calocane's mental illness was so severe he could "end up killing someone", the BBC can reveal.

This was one of a series of missed opportunities over three years that could have prevented the killings, Calocane's mother and brother told BBC Panorama in their first interview.

Calocane was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2020 and was sectioned four times in less than two years.
