Many older people who need full time care in the twilight of their lives end up with nothing anyway.
It takes them 25 years to buy a house, hoping they will be able to pass it down to offspring one day...only to see exorbitant home care fees wipe it all out in the last few years of their life.
Surely people who have paid their taxes and contributed to the economy for 50 plus years deserve better....not in the UK they don't.

It's disgusting treatment of the old here. Why can people who never worked, been on benefits, not saved a penny, get free care whilst others who saved for their old age, bought a house to pass to their kids when they die, have to pay, and they take the lot! Even pensions.
The elderly and poor will soon own nothing. After this worst government in recent history has taken the winter fuel payments off them, there is now talk their bus passes will be taken away too.
Starmer keeps repeating how much better off pensioners will be NEXT APRIL (this'll be when some have frozen to death) when he raises pensions... but he is quoting the rise for a full state pension, millions of pensioners don't get anywhere near that amount, and the older they are, they are on a reduced rate anyway.

He's a dictator, hoping to kill off many. What I don't get is pensioners on credit who get help with rent, council tax etc, get it. Yet those who saved for their old age can't get it. Disgusting!

I can understand not giving it to the rich, but working class, no matter how much they have should be entitled. They worked for it.
