I also think avoiding depression is a huge help to living a healthier lifestyle.
We may not be able to run marathons, but we can enjoy having a walk in the countryside....and when we can't do that, an active mind will always find something else to do.
Easier said than done, I know, because a healthy mind, like a healthy body, is not always possible.

I think I started this thread mentioning Dr Attia and his best selling book.
He has an entire chapter dedicated to mental health.

It's critical for good overall health..
I didn't watch it, but it stands to reason, if your mental health is good, your life will be better than living with depression.

And vice versa.
My girlfriend is a physical therapist (maybe what you call a physio?).
She works in a very high end, assisted living-memory care facility. People can become very depressed when they lose mobility and strength. Her job is to keep that from happening if she can, or regain it after a setback..

That sounds like a greatr job she has, very worthwhile.
Does she use music and dance as an aid to combat the depression people may feel, or is it all exercise based?
She plays some music for them while she trains them..
She teaches yoga classes to the more fit people and does individual training for others. Might just be an assisted walk outside. But she also keeps a log for every resident regarding their physical progress, needs or whatever

Are you smitten?
Something like that.
Let's just say the guy who let her go was a dumbass.
I've been out with and spent time with a lot of available women, and I can rule most out in minutes and about all of them in a few conversations..
