2 thick Hamburgers with loads of fried onions, and that's it, no salad or anything...just as they come.

 You're a carnivore.

Because I ate lunch out, I didn't fancy a big meal, so I made a sandwich.

Triple decker smoked salmon, lettuce, red onion, tomato and lemon juice.
Followed by a custard donut. 🍩

It's in Bermondsey, which I guess is a neighborhood of London? 🤷

Yes it's London, Grandad looks very hip, and the food looks nice, but so much meat.

We just went for a tapas, 11 of us, lots of variety, a little bit of this and that, but around 22 different dishes on the table....it was lovely.

It's BBQ. Meat is the main component.

Prepare for a coma afterwards..

I'm sure we have a Tapas place around here somewhere, but I know many of our Mediterranean places have a Mezza plate which is similar..

Very similar. Here Mezze is usually served in Greek or Turkish restaurants, Tapas in Spanish, but many of the dishes are similar.

I love that informal style of eating out nowadays.

Salad with grilled chicken.

I can't list the 17 different things that are in my salad.

17 different things in any salad is overkill.

 Maybe it was 16  😉

I like variety and variety is good for you..

Let me think what I had. Field greens, spinach,  tomato , cucumber, feta, olives, artichokes, radishes sunflower seeds, hard boiled egg, chicken, peppers, black beans, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Maybe I missed something?

Not sure how many things that is..🤷

I would have left out the field greens (whatever they are) spinach, feta, artichokes, seeds, eggs, chicken and black beans.

Added onions, grapes, apples and swapped the vinegar for a thicker balsamic glaze, and served the chicken on the side.

Thats basically chicken with a side of fruit.

Field greens are just some kind of lettuce.

I was at salad bar and I like to graze on a little of everything.
