Trying to keep my protein intake up so had scrambled eggs (with grated cheese and onions mixed in) on toast. I'm not a big lover of eggs so it felt more a necessity rather than a preference. Followed by some caramel shortcake bites as a reward for good behaviour.

 Good for you.

You need protein. 👍

I know that, hence the eggs. bored

Now, put some cottage cheese (1/2-1 cup) in those eggs, because even 4 eggs isn't enough protein for one meal..

I don’t like cottage cheese plus 4 eggs is too much for me.

I had a huge cream tea for lunch, I was going to take a pic, (like Maddog does) but I had eaten half of it before I remembered. bored

Fish for me also, baked spud and cauliflower…smoked haddock this end though not salmon. Fresh fruit salad for afters.

Both your lunch and tea sound delicious, got me craving a cream tea now cry

 Your meal sounds lovely.

I love fish...all fish, but seldom get to eat anything like smoked haddock, because OH hates the smell of fish.

When I am cooking a fish dish for myself, I even wait till his meal is out of the oven before I put my own fish in.bored

It's plenty. The average woman needs around 45g protein a day it says here. Four eggs deliver 25-30g of that, so more than enough for one meal. Of course if you're a heavy muscle-pumping type like yourself you might want more.

A woman should be trying for about 30 grams per meal.

Especially older women..

What is the world record for number of times cooking chips?

First time I've had from this pizza van and it won't be the last!

Very nice sourdough base topped with ham and pineapple toms etc.

They don't do chips or fries which surprised me in fact they don't do anything other than pizza.

I guess till they disintegrate into bits of shrivelled gunk.

These are chiuky  triple cooked, but by the time I have had them in the oven for 25 minutes, they may have been cooked 4 times. They are lovely and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside.

I have to say though that imo, nothing tastes as good as home made deep fat fried chips.

Yes, do what you're doing and enjoy it. Living and eating sensibly, keeping an eye on things and doing what works for you is good, but obsessing over every plateful and mouthful is over the top, and in my view a form of hypochondria. In fact there's a name for it:

"‘Orthorexia Nervosa’ (ON) is a relatively newly described eating disorder and may not be a familiar term to a lot of health professionals. The term ON was originally proposed and described by Steven Bratman in 1997 in response to the rising numbers of people who were observed to have a fixation on healthy or righteous eating

Common behaviours linked with this pre-occupation include: ...spending excessive time periods thinking, researching, writing or talking about food."

"In general, ON has been found at low rates in the general population, with less than 1% predicted to show signs of the disorder. However, increases in prevalence are found in pockets of the population, including dietitians, but also nutrition students, yoga instructors and exercise students"
