Chicken Kiev, thrice cooked chips, garden peas and side salad.

What is the world record for number of times cooking chips?

I guess till they disintegrate into bits of shrivelled gunk.

These are chiuky  triple cooked, but by the time I have had them in the oven for 25 minutes, they may have been cooked 4 times. They are lovely and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside.

I have to say though that imo, nothing tastes as good as home made deep fat fried chips.

 I love a crisp butty

Now, put some cottage cheese (1/2-1 cup) in those eggs, because even 4 eggs isn't enough protein for one meal..

I don’t like cottage cheese plus 4 eggs is too much for me.

I don't like cottage cheese right out of the container..

But in a blender mixed with and cooked with eggs a day you don't taste it..You just have cheesy eggs..

Again, I dont like cottage cheese. When I want cheesy eggs I add grated cheese.

Yes, do what you're doing and enjoy it. Living and eating sensibly, keeping an eye on things and doing what works for you is good, but obsessing over every plateful and mouthful is over the top, and in my view a form of hypochondria. In fact there's a name for it:

"‘Orthorexia Nervosa’ (ON) is a relatively newly described eating disorder and may not be a familiar term to a lot of health professionals. The term ON was originally proposed and described by Steven Bratman in 1997 in response to the rising numbers of people who were observed to have a fixation on healthy or righteous eating

Common behaviours linked with this pre-occupation include: ...spending excessive time periods thinking, researching, writing or talking about food."

"In general, ON has been found at low rates in the general population, with less than 1% predicted to show signs of the disorder. However, increases in prevalence are found in pockets of the population, including dietitians, but also nutrition students, yoga instructors and exercise students"

Eating a healthy meal more often than not isn't obsessing..

Most people who have raised children understand that.

One would hope they could plan a nutritious meal without any fucking stress..🙄

Went to an impromptu BBQ...the weather held, so it was a good time to have it.
I think the warm sunny weather will be gone for a while now.

We can't complain though...it's been gorgeous for over 2 weeks. Hopefully it'll be the sign that we will get a good summer.

Your rice pudding sounds like it will be tasty. It's ages since I made one. How long does it take in a slow cooker? I used to leave mine in the oven for a couple of hours.

Fish, (Tempura king prawns) and salad again for me tonight...probably my favourite meal.

4 hrs approx on high. https://everydaycooks.co.uk/slow-cooker-rice-pudding/

I cut back on the sugar as I found it too sweet first time round.

If you added evaperated milk that would make it very sweet.

Obviously in the oven I just used whole milk. I loved the skin, others loved the milky pudding.

It's made me feel like making one now.

I hadn’t tasted evap since a kid so had forgotten just how sweet it was, so learned my lesson with my first rice pudding attempt. I liked the creaminess of it though so lessened the sugar this time around. Yeah, I love rice pudding skin also, childhood memories.

My revenge for your torturous cream tea pic.lol

I had a wee box of noodles last night.

One of those ones where you open the noodle packet and sauce packet and give it a wee stir in the box, bung it in the microwave and it's ready in two minutes.

Nice and tasty for an occasional quick dinner.

You can imagine it was spectacular..

For a salad.

However, the tuna steaks were a little thin and 3 minutes a side was too much for that pink center I like. Perhaps a picture wouldn't have been a.good idea? 🤷
