It annoys me though that appointments that were booked months ago are overlooked. The NHS rightly put to the back of the queue people who don't keep appointments and don't inform them....pity they dont hold themselves to the same standards.

I prefer the old school style of seeing a doc - turn up unannounced then sit in a waiting room full of coughing spluttering people blowing their noses. Pass the time reading a fishing mag and wait to be called. Not pleasant, but at least you were necking your medicine within a few hours of needing it.
