Who in the hell would report someone dealing with this noncey lunatic? It was obvious smacking him was the only way to get him to stop and away from other passengers. The blokes who intervened should be applauded not condemned.
If they’re going for the “mental” excuse the video is evidence enough that people like him shouldn’t be mingling in society. Imagine if no blokes had happened to have been there…

I agree, although I have no idea about this incident except the above article. It does sound like the sort of thing some men would do in the Nursing home I briefly worked at. They would just stand up, their trousers would fall and as they had dementia, their blank stare would reveal they had no idea what happened. We would rush over and sort everything out, luckily their pants remained in place.
Dementia is very scary to witness, it creeps up on people slowly but surely stealing every last glimpse of individuality and recognition. One lady called Leonora spoke occasionally when I arrived, has a radiant smile that lit up her blue eyes and would often take it upon herself to escape!
When I left two years later all dementia allowed her was to sit motionless acknowledging nothing at all. Her relatives lived in the same street as the Nursing home. They never visited.
EDIT Just seen the video, whatever was wrong with this guy he did NOT have dementia He was also shouting "f off "repeatedly" ! What were the men supposed to do, let him carry on, his shouting alone would frighten kids. I don't think he was all there though as Vam said.

There will be riots I feel Mags as people really aren't happy. I don't think it's entirely fair as the Tories basically destroyed the economy beyond the point of no return. It WILL take years to fix.
But there's just no excusing Starmer's policies. The Labour government had the chance to show the naysayers that centre left politics can work, instead they turned into Tory Lite and tried to impose cuts on the elderly. Words fail me. I don't want Farage in power but I can understand why others do. They don't trust Starmer to do the right thing.
