Meningitis

Meningitis has spread from a club in Kent.  One girl has died, a few have got.it.

 

My granddaughter was there.  She felt rough Sunday but luckily is ok today and getting antibiotics tomorrow. 

My friends son was there, so I rang to see if he is ok, I'm waiting for a reply.  I'm sure she would have told me if bad tbh. I just want to be sure.

Meningitis is cured by antibiotics if caught in time.  Where does it come from though?

I'm sad for the girl who died, just glad my daughter is safe.

 I've had meningitis, it's fucking nasty.

 Only if it's bacterial.  Viral meningitis doesn't respond to antibiotics.

 Meningitis is usually contracted through close, prolonged contact with someone carrying the bacteria or virus in their nose or throat, often spreading via saliva or mucus when coughing, sneezing, kissing, or sharing items like vapes, drinks, and cutlery. It is rarely caught through casual contact, as the bacteria die quickly outside the body.

 

I was working as nail tech when I got it.  Some clients were dirty pigs and had rotten hands.  I used a sanitiser every time but only on the nail tips.  I think in retrospect I would ask every client to wash their hands before a session if I were to do it again.

 I read it started in France, at the immigrants camps.  If that's so, they brought it over.

 You might be disappointed to know, but it's fake news. Of course, that won't stop people from spreading it, especially if it suits their agenda.
