Being a none EU citizen getting into an EU country is now a PITA. You have to give digital ID whether you want to or not.
My fingerprints would not be accepted, (the only one in our group of 7 who had difficulty) but after trying 5 times on 3 different machines, I was escorted to a manned patrol where I had to wait in line. What used to take one minute...can now take ages.

 Greece are not doing this to Brits. The whole exercise is a punishment.

Yep, Greece has scrapped it for Brits.
Once done it stays on file for 3 years, so till that time is up it'll be less hassle in future.
