The problem with that outburst was that it was unclear to whom she was responding to because it appeared at the end of a number of comments from different guests.  It would have been helpful if she had quoted the "offending" comment.  I think it must be difficult being a moderator if the moderator is an emotional powderkeg with some sort of vested interest beyond the smooth running of the forum / thread.

 

HF's outburst seems to have been in response to a guest claiming a dogs forum member was "wizzywick" (whoever that might be) because the guest didn't like the forum member saying "James2001" posts on digital spy are like "Bzzzzzz-ZAP Bzzzzzz-ZAP".  Maybe it is very serious but it all seems like nonsense.  I think that guest must have been James2001 given his reaction to the Bzzzzzz-ZAP comment.

It would've been aimed at a guest who's post wasn't allowed through, but HF knew they'd be reading the thread waiting for their post to appear so told them in no uncertain terms that it wouldn't be.

Daisy, my original post to you was a knee jerk reaction because you decided to drag someone else into your rant.

Apparently you have flounced and are no longer reading (that's what I took to mean by your remark "I think I'll leave you to it"). I hope that's not the case.

I was beginning to see a pattern on here where one individual was called a creep once and an idiot twice and now, by you. The poster hadn't done anything,  at least recently, to warrant it and yet  they feel unable to respond.  It's not nice to witness groups posting insults regularly  against one.

For example you explained it was me who had frustrated you and caused you to complain yet for some unexplicable reason you decide to insult someone else.

Maybe we should both look to our own behaviour.

I'll no longer get involved  (do I hear faint barely audible strains of Hallelujah Hallelujah !)  but if posters just start on someone for no reason that is going to get attention. Others may look the other way but they wouldn't like that treatment themselves.

As for me giving my opinions on other topics, it's a forum and everyone else does it so why object because I do also? 😕 You gave your opinion rather candidly and expected the freedom to do it didn't you?

Not all folk on forums will get on but flouncing when we have never spoken before tonight is sort of a bribery tactic "either she goes or I will". There should be no problem simply ignoring each other, it's up to you.
