Syl, as I and more importantly many others have said - you are really doing well for someone that is just past the 60 mark. I hope I'm half as fit as you are when I reach the big 60 and I'd be happy as Johnny.

Reading your posts, I'm guessing what you did for a living  - can I safely assume you was a Manager of some type in white collor work where you managed more than a couple of hundred people.  Anyways, you run a home, a family and have your own forum and had the skill to retire in comfort at your young age - well done!

I was a nana in my 40's, retired when I was 50 and was never a white collar worker I worked in clubs and was in charge of a lot less than 20 people.

Amazingly (and fingers crossed) I am in good health, and get slightly miffed if people assume just because one has retired one is knocking at deaths door. Most of the people I know of my age are living life to the full.

I am about as far away from a schoolmarm as is possible to be, and I don't wear suspenders.

 It's a condescending term to say you look good "for your age " so I will just say you look pretty darn good! 😊  I believe that caused one outspoken lady to dislike you  because  she was given no other cause to.

You don't actually act like a schoolmarm at all, you were one of  the least prudish when I first joined Dogs and you respect  and accept others for who they are 👍

You never join in bullying either and often speak out against groups starting on one lone individual.

Sorry if I'm embarrassing you but I consider you one of the pleasant and balanced people on forums and if folk get annoyed with me saying so then that's their problem x

 Sorry, looks like I got it wrong about your work and retirement.  I did not manage to retire at 50 i was a bit over that and only became grandparents after that around that time.

 

I never really did clubs just pubs, lol. start at one, visit 7 and end up back where we were and driving as well - this was accepted at the time but rightly so not now.

 

You are fit in the head and the body.  Sorry about me wrongly assuming that this was your place.

Thankyou for the info Guest but honestly Stooo is of little importance to me. I did care about forums before but that's because real life had yet to assert itself.

Trust me, the only one that was good with IP's was Meas.

Hobbitfeet bangs on about perma banning people but can't, not even DS can. Several sites can in Meas as well as me. It's simple but I won't share.

If you don't trust me, go and get banned on almost any site, then let me know and I will email you and by pressing a few buttons within seconds you will be unbanned.
