I am fed up with the Sleeping Dogs Forum - it is turning into an echo chamber

Syl · FIRM BUT FAIR.

I love forums Georgia, but they are not important compared to real life, they are a pleasant distraction where you can chat, argue, debate with people from anywhere in the world....people you would never meet in real lfe and some you would cross the street to avoid if you did.

People come and go, some leave because they are bored or are too busy, some like to make a dramatic exit and run elsewhere to badmouth the forum they have flounced from...it's all entertainment really.

I just wanted to say that for the most part I'm unaware of posting history, past feuds and grievances. So I'm just taking people as I find them.

So anyone who thinks my consorting with a poster is beyond the pale will have to grin and bear it.

I'm online for the chat, banter and occassional bit of bitching.

Those posting without a name, not registered here and not willing to put a name to their post, best ignored the majority of the time. If you are not registered, I'm guessing your post will be scrutinized by the site owners and it is they that make the informed decision if the post is nasty and aimed at a member. Therefore, if the owner is doing a their job, they would not allow such posts through. This is applicable to any site that allows posts from those not registered on the site. I ran a site several years ago and all of the bickering and unregistered posts got too much for me and I just closed the site down. Now I go around looking at the smaller to medium size forums in order to facilitate my return to being a forum owner and give people a platform to discuss day to day events.
