My father supported Spurs as well, massive Dave MacKay fan.
You will have seen the infamous photo of him and the wee swine Billy Bremner?
Dave was just back from a double leg break and Bremner tries to break it again.

I confess that no I haven't seen the photo, I believe it was the elegant footwork of David Ginola that first inspired me to support them. His not unattractive self in general made me feel somewhat inspired. That and to make my father happy, who was truly dedicated to them.

But I became a proper supporter when I moved near White Hart Lane. The lines of tipsy men all along the road outside the pubs made it challenging and a tad Intimidating get to Sainsbury's on match days but the mood in he air was electric. I will never forget it.

I bought my blue and white scarf and my friend and I eventually built up the courage to venture into the pub and watch a game.Pint for her and glass of Rose for me..with a pink straw! 😃

It has made me proud to see them ascend up the Prem from mid table to top five for several years now. I think it made my dad especially happy , the Welsh Rugby team were so diabolical at one point that he genuinely got upset watching them. I do believe Spurs doing well compensated for their poor form.

I would like you to return Vicky and sincerely would like us to be civil to each other. I know we will never be friendly but civil at least, I too love animals and there is an uber cute thread here with Jack's name on it!

As you know unlike Dogs, the forum has only one trolling area, the Whine can be easily ignored :sunny:

They did, didn't they win the 5th place cup a couple of times? It's not officially called the fifth place cup I know..but I'm sure they won it !

It was still lovely to be in the top 5 every season when house are used go languishing mic table and never getting anywhere. Unlike Man United supporters (like my bloke who has not once stepped foot in Manchester...!!) I don't support a team just because they win trophies

Both of you, Gx and Syl look really good and the fact is that your pictures are real, IE no photoshop, touching up etc.

You are both very intelligent, caring and amenable and forgiving.

You can both hold your own with or without the Admin badge.

The other thing I have noted is that you both are not desperate as you have real lives and the internet, forums are

not your life but somewhere to enjoy, have a laugh, chat and so on but ney a 24/7 addiction.

You two are a breath of fresh air on the smaller forums and I wish there more people like you.

Another credit to you both is you don't flounce if you don't get your own way.

Trust me, it's worse than the back of a bus. I'ts easy commenting on peoples pictures of others when you are not prepared to post your ugly mug or touch it up so much that it looks like the next dummy in Next. Gx looks great and has the intelligence and wit to go with it. Goes without saying that syl is another one like Gx and I just wish I look something even close to here good looks when I'm a few years off my pension age.

Oh, agreed a million times over.

These forums being the way they are it does take strength of character to post with your own avi and I think those who dare not post their own but critique other people's are just as you said, cowards and insecure ones to boot.

None of us are movie stars, just ordinary folk but Syl imo you always look lovely in your pics , in fact I have never seen a lady that posts on these forums that looks terrible as the trolls describe. Sunny was gorgeous I always thought but I think she may have left this part of forum land. It's not fair imo to judge anyone, of either gender, who has had their pic exposed eithout their consent either.

But bringing Momo into things just shows how hard people will try to upset others and it just shows what ugly characters some of these "guests" really are.

All they do is show themselves up, not the person they are insulting. They are to be pitied really.

What I will say though is that I don't think I'm better than anyone else, all folk are equal in my eyes as long as they treat people fairly and as they themselves would like to be treated.

We are all different and that is to be expected and respected.

What I cannot and will never respect or tolerate is individuals who are cruel for no reason or attempt to make people unhappy for their own chidish amusement. In real life and on forums, although I will admit I have not really encountered it personally in real life.

I'm not keen on those who spread rumours either and make up fiction , usually as the ever informative "Guest", hoping folk will believe them and their target will be disliked as a result.😐

If someone is that obsessed with a total stranger that they post lies about them everyday then yes, they do need a break off the Internet. And a life!
