No one is forced to read her posts let alone obey the orders she allegedly barks out. People can completely ignore her posts if need be.

I don't agree with everything she says, she is more leftwing/liberal than I am. But at least she uses logic, reason and facts and goes into meticulous detail, to explain her viewpoints. Best of all she does not pick & choose who to criticise. She criticises me if she thinks I've said something wrong. She's not like some folk who are notoriously very selective in what they choose to be outraged about.

Thanks Text,  I do find I am considered deviant for making posts and giving opinions which as you say, everyone does! I don't understand why Guests don't ignore my posts if they aren't keen on them,  it's simple enough to do. Thanks for saying that,  I appreciate it x☺

But then they wouldn't have anything to complain about and then what  😉happy

I don't think I order anyone about (to do what? ),  I do tend to get preachy though but I feel socialist outlooks tend to sound like that.

I try to be fair and  polite to Guests.

I told the Guest his points were valid in the hope they may debate instead of  continuing to troll. Alas trolling was more important.

I didn't think their point held  much merit personally but a contrasting view is always interesting, no matter how daft.

While I agree with you wholeheartedly about GeorgiaX she does go on and on, preaching almost, plus using multiple paragraphs where a short one will do.  In other words she loves the sound of her own voice.

I've noted that an Anon is picking on Georgia. Thankfully she will not respond to nameless cowards. I've also noted possibly the same Anon or another doing the same to JD

IMO, both GX and JD are decent posters.

Yes I know I'm just a cowardly anon and you won't believe a word, others here will know I am right, as they too travel outside their own country and watch a wider range of media. Strangely those who agree with you are not cowardly anons.

To be fair to JD, he wasn't the one who brought up the subject of Brexit. All he did was reply to a question asked by the guest who made the thread.  JD replied a in a civil way, without any insults, so what has he done wrong - apart from posting an opinion that you clearly disagree with? There are insults in this thread but they are not from him lol!

JD used the normal remainers bollocks   "So thanks folks"   or " I have nothing to feel bad about"     You might not see it as an insult but it is and anyone with a brain knows it is.

"thankfully she will not respond to nameless cowards"  is clearly taking the piss,  as she responds to everything posted in the whine but people like her and JD won't see the meaning in the pisstake because they believe anything that is praising them.

It's only guests here who are prepared to call you out on the walls of vacuous drivel you come out with. Members are probably too polite to mention it. Either that or they pretend not to notice. A bit like the emperor's new clothes - or in your case, going from your avatar, a lack of them.

It's all good Guestie, having different opinions is the whole point of debate. 👍

 Stop taking things so personally.

Even if it was an insult you don't need to feel insulted. You're allowing someone else to dictate your emotions.

If you're content with the way you voted, then it surely shouldn't matter what others think.

Interesting. In what way would you say you deserve Boris and his government?

As you have addressed me regarding the actual topic and without insult Guest I shall answer.

I don't feel I do deserve it nor anyone who voted for a left wing  party.

I think the bigots who want the brown faces they see to decrease and are on low incomes, both reliant on public services and the NHS, who still voted Tory will get what they deserve. But that doesn't mean I'm gleeful about it. It really is turkeys voting for Christmas, excuse the cliché.

The blinkered electorate's who opted for a government they know only cares about the elite and treats the NHS with appalling disdain  (because it's underlying desire is to privatise it akin to America's glorious system..!) is the individual who I truly believe will reap what they sew. They believed the scare mongering, right wing propoganda regarding immigration because it supported their own bigoted mindset,

The NHS is the envy of many countries yet this government can pay for private health care so they don't care about giving it the funding it so desperately needs. We have so so much to be grateful for . The NHS employs many immigrants yes, who are willing to work long hours for meagre pay  in the menial occupations - jobs considered too dirty, too difficult and frankly too much bother for workshy youths born and bred here.

Without the professional Immigrants working tirelessly in the NHS this country would be woefully worse off. We should be thanking them, not demonising them or attempting to get rid of them.

All this rubbish about immigrants coming here for benefits..only 1% of benefit claimants do not meet the criteria for benefit received. The media has the malleable and not so bright believing immigrants here are stealing jobs and benefits, Infact they do neither. They are desperately needed in the NHS as I stated, they pay their taxes, they contribute-far more than "White Dee "from Benefits Street and her ilk does , yet where is the contempt for these people?

It is that type of not particularly academic individual who has long harboured an underlying prejudice who has voted Tory that frustrate and annoy me. Is is them that have voted for people who despise them and view them as mere proles,  will attempt to make their lives considerably more miserable by reducing funding for public services

Cameron referred to residents in Tottenham as "animals" in one speech he gave and I will never forget that sneer of disgust.

The sea of white chubby faces in expensive ill  fitting suits are completely out of touch with reality, but that is no concern of theirs. Their comfy plush life given to them gladly by the electorate  is set to continue.

The uneducated want division due to bigotry but if they think the Park Lane porkers in power will come to their aid, and I realky think they do, then they are sadly mistaken.

 Just so this is clear.

Some want immigrants of 'any' colour(white included) to decrease for what they believe is a valid reason. They believe mass immigration over the last 15 to 20 years is catching up with us. They genuinely believe our services are feeling the pinch because of it. For many it is purely and simply about numbers. Most people who believe this are not bigots. Its nothing at all to do with racism for them.

Where were you reading when the 'White Dee' story was around, she was destroyed and slated into next week.

I respect  your point JP  but her ilk is not being slated NOW,  Infact it's narrow minded  not terribly academic people in low income menial positions or collecting Jobseekers that have voted Tory for the reasons I have stated. They themselves barely work but resent immigrants for "taking their jobs" when they have no real desire to work themselves.

The poor families who have to suffer the indignity of going to food banks to feed their children have believed right wing propoganda and foolishly feel increasing amounts of immigrants  are the reason for all their financial woes.

Not so. The government could put all the funding they wanted into public services but it simply isn't a priority to them. The money is there but the fat cats pocket it. Why wage increases for politicians every year when there is homeless children lying in shop doorways frozen to the bone.

This is the other purpose of keeping the little people babble on about Brexit and immigration. It stops people thinking about what is really going on. Holly Willoughby' s Dancing on Ice garments get publicity , and Philip Schofield being a prat all the while..

The homeless continue to die, only "bleeding heart " volunteers try in vain to ease the endless torment of those who have fallen through the cracks and have now been abandoned.

Where do our priorities lie ,why does no one care that the government is cutting funding to aid these people? Because the media is keeping the focus firmly away from the huge divide between rich and poor, the poverty stricken in hostels relying on food banks, the struggling NHS and all other vital  public  services that went on strike desperately begging for  a decent wage,  all forgotten,  out of sight out of mind. And to contrast this bleak reality the stench of corruption continues with every annual pay rise for MP's.

Of course Brexit matters and Immigration is, I suppose, worth discussion but the propoganda machine has ensured no one is discussing the disturbing realities of poverty in this country, how people work for peanuts and still need the assistance of food banks,  made to feel ashamed of their need for "handouts", when really the shame lies with the politicians for allowing the economic structure to crumble and deciding poor people are disposable.

My point is that it's irrelevant whether certain people resent white immigrants aswell, not all our focus as a society should  dwell on only the issues the media insists on focusing on.

There are far more important issues that we need to care about. Just my opinion.

I haven't much time to get into this now. A quick word on voting though. All kinds of people vote Tory. Even more so the case in this last GE.

I'm someone who will vote for whoever I believe is right or best at that given time. Be it Tory or Labour. I've voted both red and blue over the years. And there are many people around who do the same.

People who can only ever vote for one party come what may are somewhat narrow-minded in my view. Extreme one party bias is a bad thing imo.

Another shut-in bemoaning other people's choices.  You need to go back to DS it is full of shut-ins who don't work and never go anywhere either in the UK or abroad anyway.   If you went out into the big wide world you would actually see nothing changed at all.   If you went abroad to the Europe you love so much you would see crumbling economies and people who want out of the EU as its crippling them.   There are riots everywhere over the EU all over Europe that shut-ins don't see as they only watch and read things that agree with them.

We are not leaving Europe we are leaving a corrupt governing body, we are still part of Europe, always were and always will be.  Do you really believe Europe will stop buying things from us or selling things to us? Do you really believe they will want to make it harder for us to visit them when they depend on UK money?  If you do you are not very bright just another scared shut-in telling those who voted for their own reasons  "Thanks for that"   like they did something personally wrong to you.    Those on DS are the same, fucking idiots.

Yes I know I'm just a cowardly anon and you won't believe a word, others here will know I am right, as they too travel outside their own country and watch a wider range of media. Strangely those who agree with you are not cowardly anons.

lol

To be fair to JD, he wasn't the one who brought up the subject of Brexit. All he did was reply to a question asked by the guest who made the thread.  JD replied a in a civil way, without any insults, so what has he done wrong - apart from posting an opinion that you clearly disagree with? There are insults in this thread but they are not from him lol!

JD used the normal remainers bollocks   "So thanks folks"   or " I have nothing to feel bad about"     You might not see it as an insult but it is and anyone with a brain knows it is.

 Stop taking things so personally.

Even if it was an insult you don't need to feel insulted. You're allowing someone else to dictate your emotions.

If you're content with the way you voted, then it surely shouldn't matter what others think.

But then, there you were doing post after post about being offended by what some old codger writes on another forum about black people when you are not black

Got a love a woolly liberal  being offended for others, while telling people who are offended for what is actually said about them, not to take it personally

and anyone with a brain knows it is.

And anyone with a brain surely knows what to expect when they click on a thread discussing the pros & cons of exit from Europe.

Did you expect everyone to speak with one voice like a borg and only post opinions you agree with? In 2016 Leavers got 53 or 54 % of the vote, which is practically half way down the middle, they did not get 99%.   Boris's own father was vociferously opposed the Leave vote, and his sister actively campaigned against leaving Europe. His brothers did not seem overly keen either.  And the city where Boris was once mayor, returned a majority remain verdict. JD's so called insults were relatively mild in forum terms, given that the topic is so emotive. And he spoke mildly compared to you.

Personally I think remainers should accept the verdict and try and move forward constructively. However, remainers who still want to talk about it, on threads INVITING them to talk about it, should not be brow-beaten out of doing so, it's a forum. No idea what is discussed on DS, I'm not a member there.

PEACE!

Very well said Text, the people have spoken, I did not agree of course but I hope Boris makes a bloody good job of it now we are leaving.

As for that poster the usual puerile personal insults they don't bother me in the slightest.
