Anyway...……………....I am wondering if anyone will be going anywhere on holiday if the situation re the Coronavirus continues.
I am due to fly off to hotter climes in a few weeks, not sure whether I will be getting there though.
I personally wouldn't. It wouldn't be the holiday itself but the bloody air con in the plane that would spread it around.
My doctor said you wouldn’t catch it from the air conditioning on the plane.
But hey, what does he know, he is only a GP
Best place to sit on a plane is next to the window and don't move around....take anti bacterial hand gel and wipes, and wipe the tray, window blind and arm rests with it as well as your hands.
That's about all people can do to protect themselves imo.

The Dr is sort of correct. Although saying you WON'T catch it is going a bit too far. Its one of the questions asked in the link that I've posted in the Coronavirus thread. Give it a listen. The reply there is more detailed than what your GP just said.
We not going til June, but a lot of Italy has the virus now. Hope it's over by then!
I have a feeling come June it'll be a whole lot worse than it is now.
It will if it mutates, but I really think it will be a distant memory within a year, a truly lethal disease has not evolved in recent decades, mainly because of antibiotics and vaccination.*
Ebola cannot spread far because it is too lethal and kills people before they can come into contact with others.
*Cue Anti-Vaxxers believing their good old uncle Bob and various loons on the web over the highly trained medical professionals of the CDC and WHO.

That's already happened.
"Scientists have identified two strains of the novel coronavirus causing infections, one more aggressive than the other, indicating that the disease has mutated at least once.
In a new study published as Britain was told to expect a pandemic, Chinese researchers suggest that after Covid-19 crossed into humans, the original strain evolved into a new type and both of these are now circulating.
Although further research is needed, the preliminary study, carried out at Peking University’s school of life sciences and the Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, sheds some light on how the disease is evolving."
