Also women have been just as misogynistic in recent years as men, if not more so. I do wish you had been around a few years ago to witness abuse of an entirely inhumane nature spill into targets real life. This was done to women by women and I truly wish it had not been the case.

But well done for asking the individuals involved to try and adjust their attitude.

People don't seem to learn, nothing good comes from lying about others, attacking them and generally trying to ensure disharmony and hurt. But for some unknown reason the forums seem to thrive upon it and it doesn't look like changing anytime soon.

I saw a bit of that, and though I hate to say it she played into their hands somewhat. In fairness the person she was after had the most polite responses of all. Obviously some secret has come to light and it's bringing out the worst in people.

I could have that all wrong as I don't know form or history of the people involved. Just saying how it appeared to me. I rather like the lady in question myself.
I'm not into victim blaming...and though obviously there is history involved with whatever started the argument off in the first place, it should have been between two people not four.

She wasn't actually a victim in all that. She knows full well what she's playing at, and it worked for her that time.
She asked Fletch a question. He told her to back off and she didn't. I agree Fletch really did nothing wrong. Except watching his buddies rip into her for their own reasons without saying look, there's no need for all this.
But there was nothing to warrant Legendary's OTT nastiness and Dean's just a casual but open racist troll and gets away with it. He knows "full well what he's playing at" calling her a "fat Indian slag " but that's OK with you obviously. Roll up just likes being a nasty bugger when he's had a few.
Legend very much believes in equality and has said many times he will talk to women as cunts if t just like he talks to men that he feels act like cunts. It's uncomfortable to actually witness this supposed equality because in real life men do tend to generally adopt a more restrained tone in their discourse with women. They have to in order for society to chug along nicely.
The place was set up to be a trolling forum. That's it's purpose, for posters to be allowed to be as vile as possible. Dean complains the forum is no longer entertaining but the truth is it's as close to its original premise as it has been in years. The owner wants it as vicious as possible ergo the return of Budgie etc ,not caring a jot about the feelings of his female Admin who had given up their free time to allow the bloody place to exist .
Now there is a blokey rather seedy vibe to the place as the hostility is just a bit too uncomfortable to read or be part of. The women have all fled. There is a point where you have to say enough is enough and the forum is no longer a space for women to talk unless they demure to owners and trolls alike as Poca does.

Put succinctly if you pander to their egos and titter politely at their patronising put downs a female is accepted. If she dares to speak up in protest the men collude and verbally rip her to pieces in the name of equality. Hobbit is disliked so much because she openly calls out their schoolyard diction and adolescent attitude so they whine and call her names. Holly doesn't, she accepts all the sinister muck for the most part or protests only in a very mild girly fashion so she is considered to be a "good egg" as Red called her.
The blokes there just fly off the handle at any female who is not subservient to them. It's rather odd but fascinating behaviour for such modern times. .! I don't include Fletch in this though, he was rather polite in the thread and is rarely if ever truly vicious to women. That is just my take on it.

I mentioned a while ago the parable of the onlooker that sees two people quarreling and then intervenes because they think one is being abused.

But then the quarreling people turn on the onlooker and tell them to keep their nose out of it.

It is interesting how some generalize and see it as a man versus woman issue when it is really just various specific personal issues between people.

I made that observation in my first post about it....why any woman with any dignity would stick around giving that type of cowardly creep the opportunity to speak to her like dirt is a mystery.

But the fact remains, she was not the foul mouthed bully, she didn't pile onto a lone poster using language that would, in the real world, see her behind bars....they did.

She has a lot of forum history....unfortunately she blabs a lot about it. I have no idea what went on to spark this latest drama but I do remember the Truthy saga...that was nasty enough.

However that was played out between the two of them, less henpecked forum big men dying to get in on the act when that saga was going on.

Because she was probably frustrated, and why should she be run off a forum by those four bullies anyway? I imagine she felt the need to reply, but she didn't deserve that abuse plus she wasn't saying anything that even warranted that level of vitriol.

The gist of it was that Fletch has trolled LM and text around more than one forum, trying his absolute best to get them to cyber with him. LM was trying to get him to admit it, then the abusers decided to white knight Fletch (ffs) and abuse her instead of the actual perverted one himself.

Get one thing straight, I am not pretending anything.

I posted about what happened the other night because I read the thread from start to finish before it was removed.

I have posted in the past with both Vam and Lady M....I don't get on with either of them. That doesn't make what happened the other night anymore palatable to me, if it does to you maybe your moral compass needs adjusting.
