You are a very gentle intelligent poster, not once have I seen you jump on band wagons or have sly digs. You posted your raise people's spirits, not your bring them down.
Glad to see you posting more!
Seconded, Mags is a really lovely poster.
Sorry for spelling mistakes!
My tablet has been on the gin I fear :embarrassed: Goodnight Syl :sunny:
Goodnight sweet Anon.
Why do you do this? You know full well who it is. this joker did nothing but take pops at Digger the whole time she was on here and still doing it and you let the posts through yet fence posts about your beloved Georgia and JD friends like you and all that.

I have no idea who it is, I take each post as it comes, if someone is polite I will be polite back...even to guests.
Now go and try to stir somewhere else....it doesn't work on here.
My Aussie friend says Australia have had panic buying on toilet rolls too. Why? What is is about toilet rolls, they can't eat them!
No soap here, even proper soap! So what did these horders do before, not use soap?
Uttercraziness!
Funnily enough, a few months ago, I bought loads of soap making stuff. I'll be making my own any day soon. I've also knocked together a mix of essential oils and we're using it as a hand spray.

I think it's pretty much seeded itself in most countries now. I don't think it will ultimately make a lot of difference.
Lets just ride the bugger now and get it over and done with.
The UK are trying to manage delaying tactics, hoping the virus wont peak till summer when logically we will be able to manage it better.
Not sure that'll work, it has a mind of it's own and more people are catching it day on day.
Every death is tragic, but so far our death toll is low.
I just find it hard to believe that if this were that serious they would be just 'advising or requesting people self isolate. When they're marching you into you house at gun point and bricking up the doors and windows I'll be more concerned

Self isolation is the best way to treat any virus like this, unfortunately some people just wont bother, in any case by the time they notice they have symptoms they have ben infectious for a couple of weeks, so it's not surprising the numbers are getting higher day on day. It's how epidemics start.
It only seems to be serious for the old and the already vulnerable, most people will survive intacto. Marching people into isolation at gunpoint is not the British way.

Ah now but we used to lock them up in their houses during the great plague
I shouldn't joke that must have been awful for those poor people.

Unless this virus causes the runs.
It's causing runs alright Twiz, round the shops!
What happened to the British stiff upper lip and stoical behaviour when the going got rough.
So many people now just seem to look out for No 1.
That ended (at least in the South it seemed) with the public display of mass hysteria after Diana died, it was so very embarrassing especially in London and eagerly whipped up by the tabloid rags.
Grown men weeping in the street for someone they had never met - you would think they had lost a parent or child, God knows what the rest of the world thought.

The final examples of that died with the public mass hysteria after Diana died, it was so very embarrassing especially in London and eagerly whipped up by the tabloid rags.

That's a completely different scenario.
Strong men can still show their emotions, I am talking more of the way so many people now look after number one rather than look out for their neighbours. At least the people who cried for Diana had empathy.

Of course strong men can show emotions (look at Tyson Fury) but it was the fact the vast majority had only read about her in the tabloids Syl, I edited my post just now btw.

Well the vast majority have only read about the Corona virus, it hasn't stopped them panic buying and stripping the shelves bare like bloody leeches though has it.

That is my point, many people are so selfish and have no self control at all now, it's me, me, me.
