The EU wanted to be generous with ventilators for countries who need them but the UK said "no thanks! " even though the NHS is desperately in need. The Government assure the outraged families that their choice is in no way political.
For once, they are being honest. Politics? Who cares! Human life? Not a priority! Boris has his good friend Mr Dyson looking after the making of ventilators so those seriously ill patients can just sit tight and wait while the elite profits from a pandemic.
Like the leaked Government email said you win some (lucrative contracts), you lose some (elderly people).
You would have a point if the NHS capacity was ever breached. There's always been headroom. Everyone has been given the treatment they required at any given time. Including if they needed a ventilator at any point of their treatment.

Why are more people dying in the community and not getting the assistance they need then? NHS is cut to the bone because of the government. Only now that they’re the lifeline of a pandemic are cunts like Johnson and his cronies praising them. The same people who award themselves a pay rise every year while cheering in parliament at nurses not getting one. Selfish cunts. And you vote for them.

Why are most people receiving exemplary treatment from the NHS still to this day then? I personally know of people who have nothing but praise for their treatment. And I'm sure many people have a similar story to tell. If it was 'cut to the bone' as you put it, the standards of care and treatment would have severely dropped by now. And they haven't.
Who says they aren't getting the assistance? The news? The news tends to cherry-pick to extremes. A couple of personal stories, staff at my Nan's care home all have protection. A cousin also works in another care home, he has PPE. Unfortunately by nature many people in care homes/nursing homes are already very vulnerable and often quite ill people. In nursing homes in particular a fairly large proportion of people sadly do not live for very long after admission that's just in normal times.
I vote for whomever I believe is the best option at the time be that Labour or Tory. There's not much point voting for anyone else in a GE.
I have never voted Tory, but the way they have rose up to meet this challenge I am incredibly relieved no other party was in charge...can you imagine how Corbyn would have handled this?
I imagine when this is all over, and the government has to start clawing back some of the billions they have doled out to help people....once more they will be unpopular, but for the time being, I believe they have gone up and over what could have been expected of them.

The Tories almost always get to deal with the toughest of times in history. That's for sure. The 2008 recession. Brexit, and now this. I think the masses don't trust Labour to have the ability to deal with the HUGE stuff. And actually it is probably more 'fun' to be in opposition anyway during all those times. They probably are secretly glad of that.

Well the opposition can pick holes in every decision the party in power make, in the safe knowledge that they wont be called on to put their money where their mouths are.
I'm worried my facemasks won't come in time if they say we must all use them when the restrictions are eased a bit, it's not as if we'll be given them, because there's not even enough for the NHS, which I still think is unbelievable, and unforgivable.
