I'm not referring to any forum other than handful smaller forums I've posted on and in particular a blog.. These have major problems with nastiness, lie, sexism, racism, unlimited vulgarness, bullying,
bullying via joint enterprise where the Mods can join in or may even initiate it, one person posting as several FM's to back them self up , spread lies, share what were private items, and so on. As the insidious behavior is left unchecked. there are two solutions IMO.
1. Remove the owner and moderator/s.
2. Close down the site.
I belong to a group of people that work in a particular profession and one of us created a blog where I often read and contribute. This blog is now very unpleasant just because the creator
made a new friend that IMO is not good for the blog. What did I get for being honest, most of what I have posted above.
As far as smaller forums go, CM and Newsfix are pretty decent and I put it down to the moderators behavior for these places being nice. Please don't tell me I can leave the blog, why should I as I've contributed a lot over there during the 2 or so years I've been there and made a couple of good, net, friends. Why should I leave when I've not been nasty, etc. I was going to leave but a friend told me not to as I'd not done wrong and I'm glad I stayed. I never judge a FM by their posts, it's what they say to me and what they respond to and how.

Lucian , with a metaphor about Dogs. The new blog contributor causing "unchecked" conflict I'm guessing would be Hf. I may be wrong about the complainant but not the forum. Or its CrazyChris and he really does contribute to a blog. I'm not feeling that tbh! :lesson:
