Does anyone else find Robert Preston to be incredibly patronising and pompous....and does he have to ask the same questions every time he gets air time?

More like full of shite. Overpaid and could not organise a p up in a ... jist like most politicians.
Preston is a political journalist and reporter not a politician.
Does anyone else find Robert Preston to be incredibly patronising and pompous....and does he have to ask the same questions every time he gets air time?
Yes and his ties are shocking
But he does not wear on on the Coronavirus briefings so what are you on about? He looks like as though he is well under-dressed and last week there was a woman walking around in the background. He is not with it and not fir for the purpose.
I was on about Robert Preston and his gaudy ties.
His name is Peston, NOT Preston.
You'd think one of you would know his name considering you've got so much to say about him.

Thank you for the correction.
Like Robert Peston, you also seem to repeat yourself a lot.

Is it really? I always thought it was Preston. Thanks for heads up.

He still wears shit ties though.....
It is, and you're welcome. I also agree about the ties, i think he must wear them for a bet!

IIRC he was huge admirer of the Orange One until very recently.
It seems the bromance is over now though.

You have made it obvious you are not exactly a fan of the Narcissistic orange President and have to say can't blame you for that. The man needs sectioning not to be the most powerful man in the world. ..anyway don't get me started!
but I'd be interested to know if you support the Tories and how well you think they have handled the crisis. You don't seem to talk about it much?
I have voted Labour all my life but this time around chose Green as a protest - I simply could not bring myself to vote for Comrade Corbyn and his obnoxious muse - the hypocritical, incompetent and racist Abbot who uses her colour as a shield against any legitimate criticism.
As for Boris I have been rather surprised as I think he has done a decent job - no one saw this coming, as far as I can tell they have followed the science to the letter.
Away from the developed world I take other countries figures with a pinch of salt - no one will ever know the vast numbers dying there because they pass and are buried without any record.
Otherwise why would the virus just attack the most advanced nations on earth with the best medical science the most severely?
The bastard Bolsonaro for one is a truly evil Christo-fascist and the Favelas must be a total nightmare at the moment - God knows how many are really dying there.

I'm surprised you dont like Mr. Preston :lesson:
As for the P.M his life was saved by the wonderful Dr's and Nurses and now the Tories can't dismantle the NHS. All those years wasted of insidiously but fastidiously trying to destroy it. It's a blessing the annual underfunding (which meant there wasn't enough ventilators ) didn't result in loss of life.
This Government didn't care if a small number of elderly died as the leaked email revealed. Ouch
I think Boris's experience will mean a more humane government , he is the best of a bad lot and said there were no plans for austerity. Hopefully he has learnt some lessons in humility and gratitude so nice to see him back. That other cyborg co wrote a book with Pitti Patel on how the UK must scrap the NHS. He must clap every Thursday thru gritted teeth! oh well, them's the breaks Dominic!
Regarding ventilators. There being enough didn't happen by chance. It was good planning.
Your post is full of fiction. Some links proving your claims would be nice to see.

Don't believe me if you choose , all the facts in my post were on the News at the time they occurred. I'm not running around like an errand boy retrieving links until I am more sure of the place.
There wasn't enough ventilators initially because Boris did his jobs for the boys routine even in the middle of a pandemic. He gave the contract to Mr Dyson so they wud make a handsome profit. the NHS was forced to wait for the right amount as a result, If the public had not conformed to social distancing and isolation it would be a very different, heartbreaking reality. Don't troll about people's lives.
Care homes and hospitals both were struggling without the correct amount of PPE for some time. Again , plastered all over the News. Boris delayed the lockdown and many lives were lost. Other countries were appalled and perplexed at his choices , such as allowing flights into the UK. Other European countries stopped all flights. Why didn't our government, what do you think their reasoning was to take such a dangerous risk
Jeremy Hunt said there was no funds available for the NHS or a pay rise for the workers , some went on strike. You recall this or maybe it's inconvenient so pretend it's fiction? It Seems the government had a forest of money trees if needed, let alone mere NHS funding!
The leaked email was in the News , is easily googled as is the book penned by Patel and Dominic. They are not ashamed of it but they might have changed their tune now for appearances only.
You're not much of a Tory if you don't realise private health care has been a long term goal of theirs prior to the virus. I'm not going to even entertain the insistence thst you don't know that.
That's a very poor excuse for not supplying links. If you are generally suspicious of this site it's not only posting links you should worry about. You do realise you still go through the same servers even as an anon.
All you need to think about is the fact that anyone whom the medics judged needed a ventilator got one. That's the single most important thing regarding ventilators. If you cannot see that you are the troll.
Boris delayed lockdown. Why don't you look on youtube for the relevant select committee meetings that recently took place. If they are on there. I saw them live. Boris's team of experts explained in fairly comprehensive detail and gave a month by month account of what they told him and when they told him it. They said he took and followed their advice at all times. I guess you will comeback and say they would say that wouldn't they. If you don't believe the Government nor the whole of SAGE then you're only ever going to believe what you THINK happened. No one is ever going to change your mind. PPE was in shortage around the World, can't you comprehend the words unprecedented global demand. Its akin to you going to ASDA on Black Friday and missing out on that super cheap crap Bush TV you were after... the rush for the product was immense.
Regarding flights Italy and the US stopped flights very early on and yet they are at the top of the worst hit list like the UK. The evidence isn't strong regarding flights. The only way shutting borders, stopping all flights, would have gave great benefit is if China alerted the World earlier than they did and shut all of their borders and stopped all of their flights out of China from the get-go. Whenever that get-go was exactly they claim it was around mid-Novemeber.
Oh you believe him. Its just Jeremy Hunt trying to make himself relevant.
Leaked emails. lol So set-up and false even the news channels barely covered it.
People have been claiming for a long time that the NHS is going to be privatised by the Tories. Come back to me when it happens problem is you won't be able it still won't have happened by the time we are both dead.

Yes because that matters..
His ties are just a small part of the overall impression, his manner, the way he loves the sound of his own voice, the way he continuously asks the same questions even though they have been answered the day before...and the day before that, is very irritating.
And as the anon mentioned before, last week he did have someone coming in and out of the door behind him whilst he was on camera, very unprofessional and very distracting.
But someone could favour gaudy ties and be professional and sensitive. The things you mention don't necessarily follow on with his choice in ties. Sorry it's just one of my bugbears when ppl associate superficial things like ties with good or bad personality traits. My bad lol.

He was on hospital or recovering, he wasn't doing his job, decent or otherwise .
And the science told him to go into lock down sooner , he chose not to. That explains why 6000 more patients have died than the estimated figure in the UK or maybe people flying in were carrying the virus. Flights were quite rightly cancelled everywhere else in Europe.
Boris is personable so I like him alot more than his gaunt grey colleagues too. But there have been scathing attacks on his handling of aspects of this crisis and in fairness , again unlike his pompous colleagues, he has held his hands up and admitted he has made mistakes. I'm hoping he improves the party because there is room for improvement.
It wasn't me who mentioned his ties in the first place, I have listed the things I dont like about him.
That's fair enough and no I wasn't on a wind up. There had been far more outlandish anon posts than my standard one so thankyou for evading the other persons attempt to shit stir.
