TOPIC: Terrifying 'black light' video reveals how easily virus can spread in restaurants as diners unwittingly contaminate them
It's surprising how many dirty bastards don't wash their hands. I know a guy on Facebook who admitted he never washed his hands when he goes to a public toilet for fear of being labelled a nancy boy. WTF?
While the virus can be everywhere quite easily, it takes a good dose to infect most people. You need some prolonged exposure. That's why a lot of transmissions happen at home. An infected person has extended periods of time with people that they live with.
But as the video says, it does show the possibility of infecting others and how that can be dramatically decreased by hand washing.
It's why I carry hand sanitizer in the truck, and wash my hands when there is a bathroom available.
I remember the tests that were done in bars and restaurants when crisps and nuts were left on the bars. There was found to be umpteen different traces of urine and faeces from dirty hands picking up the snacks.
Moral...never help yourself to free bartop snacks.
We have had note that many hotels abroad ..and probably here too when they reopen, will not be serving buffer style meals for the forseeable, gloved waiters will be serving tables instead. There will be different sittings, and far less people will be allowed in the dining rooms at any one time.

Yeah, buffets are very common here. I ate at them all the time because I like variety. I think they may become a thing of the past.
We also have cafeteria style. That's roughly the same thing but a server handles your plate and puts what you want on it. I'm thinking a lot of places will convert to that.

I hate buffets. I can't stand those All You Can Eat places either. The food is usually shit, and I can't eat a lot in one sitting anyway. I'm a grazer.

I bet you are right.
I wont be sorry to see the end of buffet style restaurants in holiday hotels, too many people mess with food, cough and splutter over it, so God knows what bugs they have on their hands.

I would take it when you go on your bike ride with gloves and mask.

Children are the worst when the parents let them go to the buffet alone, esp on the dessert aisle

I know, I avoid the ice cream section like the plague.
One thing that really irritates me is when adults cut fresh bread and they never use the napkins provided to hold the rest of the loaf....they have their grubby hands all over it, then leave most of the loaf for the next person to cut.
I always get fresh bread down from the shelf....never use a half cut loaf.
By far the most disturbing part of the video is the 'right on' bearded hipster at the end!
Anyway forget those unhealthy buffets - have a Rumbley's pie instead.
