Brazil is clearly horrific.

I also read last night that Italy's death toll total is close to 50,000i in reality and not the 32,000 or so they officially say so far. That's higher than even our ONS figures that estimates a covid death toll with suspected covid deaths added. And we have 7 million more people.

A fair like-for-like comparison between most Countries will start coming to fruition sooner or later.

It's no good comparing other countries data if you don't have the brains to utilise it.

Even with a good 4 week head start, the UK still managed a big fuck up. The 4 week head start against other EU countries. Even an arse hole could have better used the information from Italy, Spain etc to their advantage.

Like-for-like comparable death data from all those Countries whom you may want to compare is not yet out there! It will be some time before fair comparisons can be made.

We locked down 14 days after Italy. There is a common oversight coming from some regarding UK lockdown timing. We ACTUALLY locked down earlier than Italy did in the progress of the curve! As you might expect with that head start you speak of.

It's actually a little different depending on what county you are in. I became a bit more of a bastard when I left my county and traveled into Dallas county. I think most of the differences now are for business owners.
